These storage cards are great for adding additional storage to your xbox without losing the speed of the modern games, allowing you to pause and resume the game, and operating much like the internal storage. Having to get so much additional storage is inconvenient but at least Microsoft left an option for a storage solution that would not require transferring back and forth to get the full speed of the SSD.
I have two of this one and one from the competing vendor. Right now, both WD expansion cards are in the two Xboxs, but both brands did well even with traveling and taking one Xbox with me on the road. I would remove the expansion cards, put the covers on them, and put them in a case while traveling to ensure they didn't get damaged. Removing and installing them multiple times into the Xbox has not caused any problems with reading or writing the cards.

The WD - BLACK C50 1TB Expansion Card for the Xbox Series X|S is an essential accessory for gamers looking to expand their console's storage without compromising on speed or performance. Seamlessly integrating with the Xbox Series X|S, this SSD matches the console's internal SSD's speed, ensuring fast load times and smooth game transitions. With 1TB of additional storage, it provides ample space for a growing game library, particularly beneficial for players with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Its plug-and-play design makes installation effortless. However, the price point may be a consideration for some. Overall, the WD - BLACK C50 is a reliable and efficient solution for gamers needing extra storage space without sacrificing gaming quality.

The WD Black 1TB storage card works seamlessly with both my Xbox Series X and Series S and can easily be moved from one console to the other when I switch gaming locations and consoles. No need to download games to both consoles or move files to a separate external drive. Just move the card and it’s plug and play. When the card is initially installed on your console you will be asked if it will stay with this console or be used in more than one console. Works the same as the Seagate expansion card and caused the price of both cards to come down almost $100 (on sale) since the original Seagate card was introduced. If your budget can handle it, this is the way to go for additional storage on your Xbox Series consoles.

Seamless storage upgrade for my Series S! This was a much needed upgrade for my Series S that only had 500 gb of storage. The storage works perfectly with the system OS! Had been looking at adding storage since originally purchased my Xbox. Once the price dropped to $129 I decided to go for it. I would highly recommend to any Xbox owner needing more storage!!

Love this drive! Its sleek and easily hidden unlike the big game drives and 1Tb is perfect for what I play. I especially like being able to play Xbox series x/s games off of it.

This is perfect for any Xbox user! The internal storage can be really limiting especially on series S so being able to double or triple the storage is SUPER useful. Highly recommend over a standard drive for performance and integration into the xbox OS.
The price fluctuates a lot on these so $135 is a common sale price.

If you want more games without having to delete and redownload than you need this extra memory it’s completely worth the buy. I have no issues with this product, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Working great for my son's xbox s. Allows him to play the games on this drive when harddrive got full. External expansion cards didnt allow you to still play the games like this internal one does. Worked plug and play.

So what a strange coincidence that the moment western digital enters the market for expansion memory for the series consoles that suddenly Seagate feels the need to suddenly lower the price after countless months of exclusivity. Yes, the price per gb is terrible, but if you want quick resume and ssd speeds on the series, you'll need one of these if you're going to add on storage. It's still much cheaper than the absolute robbery Seagate charged until this card existed

Not sure why I waited this long..but hands down the best accesory that I could have bought for my Xbox Series X. The install was just plugging it in and selecting a setting through the console. That easy. Sale price was $129.00 USD.
I no longer have to worry about what games I want to play, because I will never have to unistall any of them. Like many other Xbox owners, I had to unistall large games just to play a new one (due to limited memory).
With this card, I simply install a game onto the Xbox internal space. Then transfer the game onto this expansion card. I hit 6Gbps speeds during this transfer, which melted my brain (figuratively) for how fast it was. This card is fast enough to play any Xbox game from it. *Keep in mind, this card will not change your internet download speeds*
Current game list:
Call of Duty(s)
Red Dead Redemption 2
Fortnite
Halo Infinite
Diablo 4
Starfield
All of the Dooms
Rocket League
All of the Battlefields
List goes on and on...
I can play anything (in my game library) without having to unistall/reinstall is the moral of the story. Glad I invested in this expansion card.

The WD Black C50 is a compact expansion card for Xbox Series X|S, officially licensed for Xbox and boasting transfer speeds and game boot times comparable to the console's internal storage. While it excels in affordability, reliability and speed, it falls short in terms of capacity, maxing out at 1TB. The 512GB model is priced at $79.99, while the 1TB version retails for $149.99. The card's design is compact and sturdy, featuring Western Digital's distinct industrial aesthetic. Setup is seamless, slotting into the dedicated expansion card port with a brief formatting phase. Performance-wise, the C50 impresses with fast transfer speeds, especially when moving files from the Xbox Series X's internal storage. However, transfers to internal storage are slightly slower, and game boot times are marginally slower compared to internal storage. Despite these minor drawbacks, the C50 supports X|S enhanced titles and Xbox's Quick Resume feature, making it a solid choice for those seeking additional storage without breaking the bank.
