Sleek design, tons of storage, runs cool but can get a little loud when the fans are running

This thing is much larger than I expected... It is also louder than I expected. Initially I was going to return it but I’m glad I didn’t! I did some research and came to find out that this is an HHD drive, meaning to say it has a disc in it. Because it has a disc spinning in it, it makes noise when in use (similar to a DVD player or gaming console). I found out that currently, HHD drives are the only large drives priced at this range that are available! So, I’m willing to sacrifice my quiet space for a consistently turning disc and a light that never turns off. Realistically, the disc spinning isn’t that loud unless it is doing an update or a download. I also found out that the reason why it NEVER TURNS OFF is because I have it set to “on” when my console is on and I have my console in “Instant Power On” on my Xbox One. Meaning to say that my xbox is basically always kind of running. I found this out because I accidentally unplugged my Xbox One day, noticed that the light on the HHD was off, thought it broke, but realize the HHD was only off because my Xbox was unplugged. SOLUTION FOR HHD NEVER TURNING OFF: Turn your Xbox off of Instant Power Mode If you’re like me and want that on because you game a lot and have games that update constantly, then you get used to the light at night eventually. If it bothers you, you can just cover it up with a sticker, sometimes I cover it with two games. I hope this helps someone out there! Happy gaming!

Love it does store games and apps and dlc download content. Game captures screenshots and videos I highly recommend. For Xbox

love how much storage this provides; we use it for our xbox works like a charm. You do have to transfer games once it's downloaded when you're using the storage but it's way more convenient than constantly re-downloading large games on the xbox. I'll take a transfer anyday!

Worth every penny! With so much space available to put 140 games on it and you can take it anywhere to plug and play. I would definitely recommend it

Works perfect for what I use this for. This is used as a storage drive for my emulator set up on my PC. I am very happy with this drive. It will soon be replaced with a NAS but for now it works for my needs!

I like this hard drive loads faster than the hard drive on the Xbox one console. When the game console is off this hard drive does make some noise. It has plenty of space to download games

Much bigger than 2TB Seagate I have, and much louder (hence the -1 star), but it does the job, and does it well. Much faster than the 2TB Seagate as well.

Dirve is fast and has lots of room for storage. My son is thrilled with it.

Power supply has been updated from prior years with some of my drive purchased had whining power supplies. No more whine sound. SSDs are fast but then they get hot they because very slow. These may not be fast but the speed is better than a hot SSD.

Transfers big files reasonably quickly. Makes a bit of noise, but is not much

Bought to paur with my xbox series s. You cant play series x and s off this hard drive but you can store them on it and transfer to the xbox when you want to play. With 12 tb this hold hundreds of games so to me its value is worth it when the memory card for the series s and x is more expensive for just 2tb

It seems to do the job which is hold all my Xbox One X games which according to Xbox this is the max TB the Xbox One X and XBox Series X can handle so in order to not ever have to buy another external storage I bought this and due to the brand and it being made exclusively for Xbox it was a done deal. The noises it makes can be a bit offputting at times but as I am typing I am realizing I haven't heard it in while. I have a smaller size for my PS5.

Great bit of storage for the Xbox series X. It would be nice to have an even larger storage ability. But this is a great start!
