Got this to replace a damaged hard drive on a brand new desktop. Compatible with my cyberpc and works very well for paying about the same or less than fixing the old outside of contract.

If you are looking for a hard drive that is dependable, affordable, and fast...this is the hard drive for you. If you need to quickly read/write files for gaming needs or business, you cant go wrong with this Performance line 'black' Western Digital hard drive. You will be hard pressed to find a faster mechanical drive from a more dependable company, than this particular model.

The actual model number of the drive in this semi-retail box is a WD2003FZEX. I call it a semi-retail box because it doesn't include a SATA cable but only mounting screws so it's similar to buying an OEM bulk packaged drive but in better packaging. I understand Best Buy wants to sell you a SATA cable but I wish they would list the actual model number of the drive inside these boxes they sell.
I've had quite a few hard drives fail recently. I had a Seagate ST2000DM001 fail in 18 months and some Western Digital Green drives fail in 3.5-4 years just after the warranty expired. I've decided to use Western Digital Black or HGST drives with 5 year warranties from now on.
