It's small, convenient, easy to install (plug & play), and inexpensive! What's not to like?

Reliable external hard drive. Bought this for my daughter in college, and she has become spoiled to the extra storage and ease of access this drive provides.

Love this hard drive! Fast, small and portable and more importantly large storage. I feel the plug in part is already getting loose though. So be careful and don’t be aggressive in removing or attaching cable. I didn’t do that but maybe even just the strain from slight bend causes the connection to loosen on the HD

I've been using these for client deliveries. They're tiny and lightweight so easy to toss into the camera bag and hand-off at the end of the day or ship when a job is finished. Typical WD reliability; I've never had an issue with one. Plenty of space, great value.

I was looking for a portable storage drive for a reasonable price and this one fit the bill. It's slim and easy to handle. It is also backward compatible to USB 2.0. I planned to use it as external storage for my Dish Hopper and it worked. I didn't use any of the software it came with as Dish Hopper formatted it.

Actually, I was interested in buying a Seagate hard drive but then I realized I have a WD hard drive already that I bought 5 years ago and the performance of that is fantastic. Needless to mention that this product has the best price as compared other competitors.

Have used WD products before, and purchased this because I know they're a reliable brand. This is much smaller that it looks from the packaging. Comes with the cabling you need, and pre-loaded backup software (trying it out to see if I like it or if it's bloat). Overall, if you need this much storage and are consistent about backing up externally, this is a good choice.

Easy to set up and transfer files. The external hard drive was exactly the answer to create permanent records of all files on my laptop. Great backup in case my hard drive fails. The Western name is a good, trustworthy name and the price could not be beat anywhere for a comparative item.

Nice hard drive at a really great price. The hard drive is small and a thin size and can hold a lot of files. The set up is easy and the box has a usb cable included. Files load quick and save quick.

'Easystore' portable backup is an excellent choice for my computer's backup needs. Its performance has made it a worthwhile purchase and it meets all of my expectations. The 1 TB drive succeeded with backing up my important files and folders including music and pictures. It's multi-functional with three different Windows operating systems so I'll have the option to use it even if I change to one of the other systems in the future. The set-up process was simple and efficient, and it quietly runs in the background according to the schedule that I selected. The diagnostic tools that are readily available through the provided software help me to monitor/maintain the storage drive at its peak level. Very satisfied, highly recommend.

This is the right size storage device for me. I duplicate what I store and this is the same size as my other storage device. Good price, small size, and ease of installation make it perfect for me. I do not game. I do store pictures, documents, and music scores (Sibelius) I create.

I bought this when it was the deal of the day. I wanted a USB drive and this was the right size at the right price. I have several WD NAS drives and have been very happy with them and never had an issue with software from WD. With this WD easystore, the supplied WD backup software was a REAL pain to install. It requires WD Discovery software, which I have of course as part of my NAS setup but this stuff installed a second Discovery software setup. That resulted in a constant error message to be displayed. Took long time to figure out what was causing that. WD Backup is just OK when it works. Doesn't wake system from sleep which I wished it would. I DO like that it doesn't shrink the files or store them in one big file. That way I can find them easily on the drive with a file manager. Other than the software, the drive works great to store my files.
