Easy to set up and partition (used 1TB for Time Machine, and 2TB for media). I've had no issues since purchasing about a month ago.

My previous HD only had 1TB so I had to expand. The mybook has a sleek design and lots of different storage options for a good price.

I liked everything about the WD external hard drive except for the fact that you had to download Aconis backup software which, unless you purchased a package, it was very basic.

I use the 2 seperate My Book's to store all my digital photographs. It's always good to have a backup of all your photographs.

This unit has a power brick. It does not draw power from the USB connection. Many units rely on what they are plugged into for power. If your device can supply the voltage... then having one w a power brick doesn't help but it doesn't hurt. If your device can't power a brickless hdd.. then it won't work. If you want a external drive that will work with any device... heres a good choice

I just recently purchased this 3T external hard drive. It's easy to use, just simply plug-and-play and it runs quietly. So far everything is going smoothly. The back up feature is nice and handy although I haven't gotten the chance to test it yet. Fast read and decent write speeds. The price is very affordable compares to others. It's a bit bulky but sturdy and firm for a vertical stand hard drive.

Lots of space and works well. It's a little slow to open folders but it's connected to 2.0 ubs so it's understandable.

Perfect for the Xbox one, I have so much more space now when I get new games.

This is a great hard drive if you're in the market for a non-portable hard drive. I have used this on my Mac for Time Machine and it worked great for that. I bought a second one for my Xbox One to install games to, and I've noticed a large performance increase from the internal drive that comes in the Xbox.
