This is a great external hard drive. Great price and easy set up.

I love the fact that this is a huge capacity hard drive and that the transfer of data is real fast, but the software sucks. To be fair, I haven't found a backup software program that made any logical sense, so I'm not singling this backup software out – they all need to be made more user-friendly! But overall, I like the fact that I do have solid backups of all my files and that I don’t have to back them up to a cloud somewhere. Why? Because when you do have a failure (and you will) downloading 3TB of data will take weeks! Conclusion: I like this drive! Software…as for the software, it does the job; but it’s not very easy to understand and use.

Just like it states easy to install and abundant storage space! Love using my External USB Hard Drive.. User friendly and a great design, I high recommend it !

The ease of formatting the system for my Macintosh computer was great. It has plenty of storage space and files transfer very quick between my Mac and the backup unit.

I really like the WD My Book. This is a USB 3.0 Hard Drive.

This is one of roughly 6 drives we use externally for business and it couldn't be a better drive for a better price. The speed of the file transfer was beyond my expectations and I am sure it will stand the test of time like every one of my other WD externals.

I bought this to do SafePoint backups for my MyCloud. The first thing I did was manually copy the files over just to be safe. Don't do that if you are connecting this directly to the MyCloud. Connect it to your laptop and a Gigabit cable to a router. Files copy much more quickly over the network than over the MyCloud's USB 3.0 connection. Anyway, I immediately had Safe point problems. It eventually corrupted the drive. Safepoint would hang at different points. Eventually it corrupted sectors on the drive. I ended up having to re-format the MyBook. After re-formatting, everything worked fine. It works fine now and I haven't had a SafePoint failure since reformatting. Far much more work than I wanted to go through to get 2 WD products to play well together.

Solid Reliable Hard Drive. This is my 4th one, my other 3-5TB WD HD's still up and running. Do yourself a favor and get this hassle free hard drive.

Needed to store lots of pictures and videos from my phone and WD external hard drive fits my need perfectly. very reliable brand with added warranty.

As of now, the write speeds are extremely fast, as promised by the power of USB 3.0. With any hard drive, the true review comes after using for some time, even years later. The reliability cannot be known until years of use. But as of now, looks promising.

This disk drive was easy to use and ready to go right out of the box. Using it as secure storage of family videos and the giant capacity is superb.

Hard drive works as it should I've had no issues at all

This is a good external storage drive with a large capacity. Not the fastest drive on the market, but does the job of file storage just fine. And it's quiet.

Great quiet hd with lots of space. Instructions leave a bit to the imagination but overall very happy with backups.
