This is my 3rd WD external drive. All three of them are used for backup of pictures and other files. They simply work!

Besides it not being as mobile as a smaller 1TB Hard Drive, it works great. Easy to use, shouldn't have to replace for years and is very quiet.

This external drive has the capacity I needed. Installed easily ans works great.

Bought this to back up files on PC before converting to WINDOWS10. Backed up files pretty quick. Was on sale so made the purchase that much better.

Excellent performance, as I've always found Western Digital drives to be. I am using it to edit video through the USB 3 port and it is working fine.

First time I have ordered online and opted for the in store pick up and it was a great experience. Very fast and efficient, I will use this option again!

I used it to transfer movies from one hopper (dish) to another and had no problems except it took a long time

This is the second 3TB WD MyBook drive I have bought. Good performance, reasonably fast transfer speed, and always connects quickly without a problem.

Copied multiple small drives onto this one as my main backup, use the smaller drives (500 GB & 1 TB) as a portable drive again. Like the drive, did not like that I ended up paying $25.00 more than I had expected. Researched on a Saturday and on Sunday the price in the store was higher..... Despite having the printout with me they did not honor the BestBuy price from 11 hours before.

I use this drive to store multimedia drives, which work great. Just make sure you find the settings for power management, because it may have issues with waking up from sleep/hibernation and start "clicking"

This unit is incredible. I set it up for my father, who does not back up his computer regularly. This 3TB My Book was easy to set up, so that all new documents and changed documents are automatically backed up. We then set up another section of this drive to just permanently store documents, without being touched by the auto-backup system. Very impressive and highly recommended.

I relied on the sales persons advice that this back-up hard drive would save my information if my computer crashed. My last computer crashed and I did not have a back-up, so I lost a good bit of information.

Fine external hard disk. The size for the cost makes it a super deal.

Good relation between price and space. Regular HD for regular use. I used with my mac and everything goes smooth.

This is a great size hard drive for the money and the usb 3.0 is very fast.
