Like the way it is easy to save my information safely and then retrieve it using a password.

I have used many of these to expand my PC storage and to provide backup and archive capability. Very quick and easy to install and it configures and maps the drive automatically with Windows 7. Very quick way to transfer large amounts of data between PCs. Convenient means of doing backups.

I am very pleased with this product. Set up was a breeze and it does everything I expected.

I bought this device to replace another brand that still works, but was filled up by its software making too many duplicate copies of files. So far this disk is not filling up too fast and the software is smart enough to avoid the duplicate copies that caused my old disk to fill up.

I really just needed something to back up my wifes computer with all the pictures on it. I didn't realize that once I set it up, it would automatically backup the folders that I specified when they changed. It is nice that it is USB 3.0 too, that makes for much faster data transfers.

This works very well as a Time Machine for the iMac. Just reformat it and away you go...

I am still giving this hard drive 5 stars because although the Hopper 3 was unable to see the 3 TB partition, the 2 TB equivalent has been a great second storage place for our Hopper 3 and allowed us to transfer all our DVR recordings from our Hopper 2.

I haven't used an external hard drive before but WD has a good reputation and judging by the other favorable reviews it's a solid choice.

Meets by back up needs. 3TB good space and simple use .

Have not used the external yet. I have another WD My Book external hard drive it is 6 or more years old and still works great!!!

Like a lot guys. Like as in if it was a truck, it wouldn't fit in the garage big.

I purchased upon recommendation from best buy employee as a backup drive on a laptop that I was going to reset to factory defaults. It appeared that most of the data backed up, some had issues and I don't know why, but when I went to re-install on computer I had issues with losing most of my data, especially pictures. Maybe I did something wrong but I followed instructions and had major frustrations with lost data.

I use this an external hard drive to my Xbox One S! I had the original Xbox One but I upgraded about a month ago and let me tell you, this machine works flawlessly in storing my games! My console runs so smooth without any games installed on it
