Bought this for my son's Wii U game system. Replaced a much older drive, which I suspected was the root cause of games freezing. Installed this new drive and not only do the games load 50% faster, there have been little to no crashes/freezes since.

Bought this to replace a Seagate backup disk that died after less than a year. The bundled backup software is maybe a little less intuitive than Seagate's, but still better than Windows Vista's built-in backup (at least in my limited experience)

USB 3.0 is Fast and very reliable it just always works. With 3 TB it should last along time I put all my Photos and Videos on it. I get very good transfer rates for a USB Drive and it is a great value!

Wanted a high capacity dependable storage medium and this filled the bill.

I needed something to store my photos on. Cloud storage uploads are too inconsistent and slow sometimes. The transfer speed is quick for hundreds of raw photos at a time. I originally bought this at Wal-mart but someone returned the case and removed the insides. I got my money back and went to Best Buy to purchase.

This is a great product. Well worth the money and would recommend to anyone.

Overall, this is a very nice 3TB drive for the price. It installed easily, has a good backup and restore software package (WD Smartware) that is easy to configure and use, and, so far, the drive has performed flawlessly. The one major dissatisfier with this drive is that you must disconnect it from the USB port every time you reboot / restart the PC. During the PC's startup, it looks at this drive as a bootable drive and, since there is no operating system on this drive, it prevents the computer from starting up ("freezes"). My brother, who owns and operates his own IT company, and I altered the BIOS as recommended plus he tried some other tricks to get it to ignore this drive during boot up, but to no avail. So, every time I restart the computer, I need to disconnect the USB cable -- very annoying!!! (It is interesting that my previous WD 1 TB drive that I bought 3-4 years ago does not have this booting problem.....)

Easy to setup and use. I would recommend product. I works as advertised.
