I bought a 3 TB drive for my son's computer. It is dedicated for video and music editing and definitely does the job. Much better than my smaller drive he filled up. Will definitely be buying again!

I've been running a backup weekly to this unit for more than 18 months without any issues.

Bought the drive to do regular time-machine backups on a Mac. Simple installation - plug it in, tell Time Machine to use it as the backup drive. Works well.

Lots of room and My Book has its own external power supply (not dependent on computer power). Less likely to crash if the computer has a power problem. For best security, plug into auxiliary battery power.

Even though the installation directions were difficult to implement, the external hard drive is an EXCELLENT expansion of a computer's main internal drive. This drive allows one to carry one's entire PC's files, folders, applications, and videos from place to place.

This is a great HDD for any type of use, me, I use it for my XBOX 1 storage... Loves it

I bought this with the intent of connecting it to my xbox one for storage. It connected and began working immediately without any software or downloads necessary. I have had no trouble of any kind so far.

Works fine and a was relatively cheap. Not a bad item.

Drive transfers fast and I use it as my time machine on both mac computers of mine.

I bought this to back up my movie and music collection. Good capacity at an excellent price. Works well with my Raspberry Pi. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one if the need arose.

I got this because was getting a new box from my cable company and they suggested it so that I wouldn't lose the movies that I downloaded. It was very easy to use and worked great. I didn't have any issues getting my movies saved on it and getting them back on the new box.

Bought this for the xbox one as we quickly ran out of space! It was so easy to set-up! Now the xbox runs faster, we've been able to download much more to it and the boys are happy :)

Exactly as described. I have tried a few different external hard drives and had problems with random disconnects. This hard drive has never disconnected during large file transfers.

If you got hard drives and flash drives that need storage as well as using it to keep your laptop cleaned off. If my house goes up in flames the kids are grown so all I have to do is grab my book.

I have had a similar external drive (My Book Essential) for about 3 years. I have not had any problems with it . It saves Information automatically. And if you ever need it it's there. For my self, I do recommend you get a hard copy manual from WB.

Good price performance, decent speed at USB 3.0. Excellent for backing up data.

I bought it to copy the data from 4 computers on to one external drive. It worked quite well for this purpose.

Like most hard drives it performs as advertised. Would like to see lower pricing.

Went back and forth on what external drive to purchase and I'm glad I chose this one. Very easy to set up , just plug it in and follow the setup.
