It was on sale so it was at an awesome price for 3TB I Dj/Karaoke and it holds all my songs and karaoke songs. I don't have any complaint so far.

Was very easy to use, only have to install drivers and as a gift, my girlfriend loves it. Stores all the pictures she has taken on it and still has tons of room left on it.

Saving all my files. Was easy to do. Now my work and family pictures are saved.

This is a good hard drive. Looks sleek next to my X-Box which is what I use it for. Does the job with plenty of space. No problems yet and I don't see any reason to expect one.

I'm using this connected to a Windows 8.1 pc. I haven't used the included back up software but instead have simply manually copied important files to it. So far I'm happy with it for this purpose.

The pros: I wanted this unit to plug into my router's USB port and back-up all my computers to it through the router's "ReadyShare" function. Neither Netgear or WD could confirm it would work. It did work with ReadyShare w/ zero issues so far. I didn't have to do anything but plug it in and tell the router it was there. Foolproof. I didn't use the MyBook's software because I don't like Acronis. But the three programs I tried saw the network disk w/o issues. I have the 2T one. Transfer speeds aren't great, but faster than USB 2.0. The drive does produce a "chugging along" noise as it chomps your data. Is not loud at all, but if your office is quiet you'll wonder if you got a pigeon perching on your window until you get used to it. Sadly, I bricked mine when it fell from a little stool where I had "protected" it from being on the floor. But it's replacement is still working well.

transfers data at a fast rate and the encryption (AES-256) works as advertised. Plus the drive is quite and it never overheats.

This is a great hard drive to use for pictures . I have loads of pictures that span years and it is very important for me to back them up to a hard drive that will last.

I've only had it for a couple months but the drive is speedy, and I've had no problems with it. Easy to set up. The shiny black surface shows fingerprints, but it really is not an issue.

I'm not a computer geek. A mac geek told me to get an external usb hard drive at least 2 TB so I did.It does what it does and leaves a record in Time Machine. So i,m all backed up and all I have to do is pay the bills. I'm happy. Pato

Got this to secure family photos and videos from a dying computer. It didn't take long to set up and my family's special moments are safe.

This is a very easy set up and run. It is even better with the upgrade to Acronis Image backup. Now I can completely recover from a disk crash. I won't even have to load any programs.

Originally, I bought two drives. This one was to supplement my DVR. However, it turned out that Dish would only support 2Tb drives. So, I used this as back up to my computer instead. I have always used Western Digital and they have performed well.

Very pleased with this purchase.no negatives. Backing up my data is extremely important to me and this does the job great.

This is great for storing all of my 4k Video footage. I usually shoot 100-200 gbs each trip so the space on the WD will easily last me a few years.

I lost all of my files on a cheap external hard drive and will NEVER do that again! The 3TB provides more than enough space to back up web sites and ALL of my photos.
