Replaced a 3TB Seagate Backup Plus that died after 3 years. I use the WD My Book as an external backup drive. The USB3 interface is fast. I have only had it for 2 months and like it so far. Let's see if it lasts longer than the Seagate drive.

Purchased this because my other back up drive kept running out of space and I would always have to delete everything and start over. Set it up and I really like how it backs up my files and I can find my files and see they are backed up.

I use this external HD for storing photos and videos. First one I bought I still has plenty of storage space after 2 years. I bought this one so my nephew can store videos my father made of family. Easy to use and access when needed. I will be scanning old family photos to store on this as well.

This was the perfect backup setup for my new Windows 10 operating system update. I had upgraded my internal hard drive to 3gig several months ago and my old external drive was too small. Very easy to install and setup.

Got this to replace my old wd 1.5 tb that was starting to fail. Usb 3.0 is wayyy faster than 2.0! Transfered about 1.1 tb of data in about 5 hours as opposed to 2.0 which would take 12 hours or more. Hope it lasts for years to come.

It setup easily and compliments my exisiting 1tb drive. File transfer is fast and simple. Easily transportable to another computer to share large files at some friends house.

It's a great piece of equipment for what it is. I didn't reali what I was getting with it. I own a MacBook and didn't realize it wasn't compatible with it. It has been kind of a pain getting it to coincide with the MacBook. All in all a good product for the money, just a pain if u have a Mac.

I bought this to transfer files from my old computer (Vista) to a Windows 8.1. I guess I did something wrong, as it zipped all my files and I have no idea what each file is. I wish there had been some written directions as I am sure it is my fault, but I have no idea how to properly use it.

I have yet to have any issues with WD products since my first purchase from them nearly 10 years ago. My storage requirements have changed and as such I've purchased their newer models. Always content.

This hard drive works well but a little bigger than expected .

I love this hard drive, It comes in handy backing up files but I wouldn't recommend on leaving your files on one because if it falls or something goes wrong; The cost way more at a recovery center than what you paid for the drive & some times your files aren't recoverable.

I'm on my 3rd or 4th Western Digital drive and I've been pleased with them. They tend to last about 2-4 years which I assume is a decent lifespan for a drive. Easy to set up and the data transfers fairly quickly.

Real easy to use. Not complicated in any way. Plug and play. You could install it's software but really could use without. Also real fast transfers. On top of that, cloud storage, highly recommend.

I was trying to move everything I have onto 1 drive, and a computer will not recognize more than 1 Hard drive at a time. So, had to move everything twice. If they make it so that 2 can be connected at once, it would be 5 stars! Also needs to be compatible with Mac and PC at same time.

We bought the external hard drive to store out pictures and music. Great product and easy to use. Spending a little more money for the extra storage (from 2TB to 3TB) was a no brainer.

This is great for storing my photos. I am a Macintosh user and it is sometimes a challenge to find a compatible element for the Mac. This is fine!

Bestbuy carry best item , like this WD my book 3tb compare to walmart or other electronic store bestbuy beats their price !!! I will highly suggest bestbuy to my friends co-workers and relatives

I was told years ago WD was the way to go. I have several of these hard drives and have had no problems. This current one is no exception; it does not over heat and I have had no problems with it.

Without this nothing works for my business. This is for my for all my important work that I'm required to do
