This is my second one I bought, the first one worked so good! I saw a writeup about the quality of the drive used, and bought the first one. Have been very happy with size, speed and reliability.

Excellent in all respects: the price was good, it was easy to install, a true plug & play item, was up and running in less than a minute. Have yet to experience any problems with this drive.

Beside losing 800mb from the system space if you looking to veracrypt the drive better wait a whole day for it to finish.

The storage space on this thing is massive. If I had an issue with it it would be the drive spin down and spin up times. Seems to work like the older green drives with excessive power saving spin downs on the drive.

Initially on my Win7 system the PC didn’t recognize the drive when plugged in but not did on a Win 8 system. Eventually got the drive to operate on the Win7 system and since then has operated as expected.

Great product with sleek glossy design, small and easy to store. Easy to use with Xbox One just plug in then transfer content.

Lots of data storage for all your data needs. It's a new hard drive model (not shingled), so long term reliability is unknown. Internally it's a SATA drive, so you may remove it for internal use if you wish (which voids warranty).

No setting up. Very easy to use. The huge capacity is very appealing to me.

ive had many external HDD in the past and this one is simply the best ive used so far. i am very pleased with the product and was hesitant on paying a little more than what other externals cost but i went with this one and very glad i did. it's defiantly Western Digital for my HDD needs from now on/ keep up the great work Western Digital and thank you Best Buy

product works great-a lot of storage-very easy to set up

Reconfiguration for mac / setup was rather quick and easy. No issues at all thus far in a month-plus of daily use, primarily as a music server. I have only been using the USB 2.0 connection thus far, so cannot comment on speed for USB 3.0. Overall reliability should be proven with time, and I will write followup if any issues arise.

Long time WD buyer because they are dependable. All my externals are WD.

You can't go wrong with an external hard drive from WD. I have owned a few over the years and have never had any problems with them. Completely user friendly. Simply plug and play. I went larger this time due to the sale price, but all their drive sizes are excellent. Highly recommend.

This is by far the best at storage needs to free up space on a computer, or for backing up data. I already have this product in the 4TB hard drive space, and decided to go back again for an upgraded space hard drive since I recently started making Youtube videos.

You can't beat the price/performance of this hard drive. I have my entire iTunes library stored on this drive, which is about 3/4 full right now. Not a single problem ever. If I need another one in the future, this is the first place I would go.

Great storage space but a bit noisy. Sometimes my Mac have difficulties connecting and I have to disconnect the USB and reconnect. Overall, I'm satisfied but it could use a firmware update to solve the problems.

Purchased the hard drive for archive and backup purposes so I could redo my system. It was the perfect storage for the right price to archive files and use as temporary storage while the system is reinstalled.

We bought this external hard drive for backing up our workstations in our small office. To date we have had no problems and the drive is performing as expected. This is a great amount of space for the price.

So happy that WD is now creating hard Drives that are 8 TB. That helps so much with the large amount of images that I need to store as a photographer. Perfect product, no complaints or problems
