    I am not that experienced in computer drives, so I was looking for something that was simple enough for me to add a good deal of storage with some security and back up functionality. I am using the RAID 1 setting and mirroring my drive for back up purposes. Everything is easy to use through the native WD app. I did have to reformat for Mac though. Go purchase.

    I replaced a similar raid array with a usb2 interface with this one. It is much faster. What took hours to transfer in the past now takes minutes. I always buy Western Digital drives because of their reliability. I highly recommend this drive.

    So far so good.. I'm really hoping this one lasts a lot longer than my seagate 3TB one did before. We bought this one as a backup to the new seagate we purchased and so far it has been working well.
