Had a little learning curve. Overall works very well for what we need. Love being able to access my files from anywhere to include my cell phone.

This is a great product!! I was able to take all of my photo's and videos from my computer and store them on this sucker, making so much more space on my computer available and now my computer runs so much smoother.

The mycloud tb drive was easy to connect. It connected to all of our devices with ease and has backed up everything quickly and easily. We have access to everything with the shared drives and easily drag and drop pictures and videos. Would recommend to all my friends.

The opportunity to backup multiple computers in the house with a mix of PC and Mac was great. Initially planned to get the 2tb but for the minimal price difference the 4tb was an investment for the future.

I love this storage device. It took a little time to get everything transferred over, but the amount of space I get compared it Dropbox is insane.

I bought this NAS with the intent to store backups of my computer and some of my software. I started to use it to store movies and music, so I could watch on my smart TV. Works great! Easy setup, easy to access.

This fulfills all my storage needs and saves me from having to lug around a bulky external hard drive. A must have for graphic designers and any others who may have to show off their work at a moments notice.

Seems to be working well. Good price point as well makes this a good buy if you are needing a lot of storage for a good price!

This hard drive was easy to install and is very useful. My whole family can now share all of our videos, pictures and music in one easy place without paying a monthly fee for extra storage space on a cloud.

For mass data storage on a home network, this device is perfect. It was easy to set up and the WEB GUI allows for easily managing file shares. The data transfer rate is sufficient for us to stream video files to our Roku using a media server installed on my PC. The direct media share option doesn't work very well since many of the file compression methods used are not recognized by the native media client on the device. Overall this device is what we expected when we purchased it. It works well and satisfied our mass storage needs.

This was purchased as a supplement to other methods of storing photos. Two connections, download software, hookup to wifi and done. EASY.

This 4 TB external hard drive has plenty of room to backup both of my iMacs and Macbook Pro together! I have it in another room so I am not bothered by the hard drive running to back up as I go. Set up was very easy. Just plug it in, go to settings, encrypt (if you want) and in a short time you are totally backed up. There is easy access from the computer to see or check on backups. It has worked flawlessly and wirelessly since I purchased this drive. I had a 1 TB WD that I used, but it was not wireless and took up room next to my computer.

I am really happy that I have a way to backup my data from multiple computers through the network. The hard drive is reliable and working fine but there's a little bit of a learning curve on getting setup and setting up Smartware for automatic backups.

I've had issues with WD products in the past, but this new My Cloud drive works as advertised. Easy configuration, and reasonable price.

I purchased the product so I could easily store movies, music, photos, and other files that could be accessed by all our wireless devices by any member of the family anywhere. It was very user friendly and easy to set -up. I haven't started using the product or storing any files on it yet. So I can't comment on the use yet.

Set up was fairly easy for my MacBook time machine backup. The app to back up my iPhone is not intuitive and I couldn't get it to work.

I use this for ripped blu-rays and it has worked flawlessly for me. It's a good bargain since it has gigabit networking. Most other drives with gigabit ethernet are more expensive than this one.

I am a photographer and needed something with a lot of storage for my BAZILLION pictures. This storage device came with cloud access which I LOVE! I can access all of my photos anywhere.

This is just what I have been looking for to back-up family photos. This was very easy to install into the network and start using within about 5 mins. And with the 4TB space this will take a while for the wife to fill with photos. I hope......

I purchased the MyCloud when my 1TB hard drive filled up with all the footage I'd taken but hadn't sorted though yet. I'm very pleased with the MyCloud. It's accessible from anywhere (as long as it remains powered and plugged into your modem - it can't overcome power or service outages, so keep that in mind) which means I can upload my footage, pics, docs, etc. wherever I'm at and keep from clogging the storage on my various devices. The only downside - and perhaps I should have done a little more research on this before I purchased it - is that it can't be used like a typical hard drive, so you if that makes you nervous, you might either consider another option or backup your backup to something you're comfortable with, like an external hard drive. Otherwise, you simply upload via wireless connection and I have mine set to just do it automatically. I've decided I'll backup the super important stuff to a hard drive I can plug into and access directly from my computer in case something should happen to the MyCloud. That being said, I would absolutely buy it again. I'm extremely pleased with it.
