This was exactly what was needed to create backup and cloud storage. Great complement to Dropbox and Google drive

Followed install instructions and everything went smoothly. Backed up computer without a hitch. Have had some challenges getting my various mobile devices all hooked up. No big deal.

Travel a lot and while the online sites are fine for cloud storage, having my own cloud with this device is ideal.

The WD My Cloud drive is very easy to setup and configure. It works beautifully right out of the box with little user configuration. I can access my files from any device with an Internet connection. You do not have to configure any rules on your firewall either. A great backup solution!

great cloud storege option , just wish the cloud hardware itself could connect using the wi-fi istead of the lan connection that is required now ,good speed

i bought this for ease of use, having your own personal clouds sounded very attractive to me, so i went ahead i bought one, even though i had a bed experience with WD (my 1T stop working after one year, and i lost all my son memories videos and pix). well it stopped working, it led it clinking non stop and the hd ben running non stop also, the thing decided to no connect. my whole photography work for the last year is on it and also my family photos and videos. dont buy WD dont ever think about WD,

It's a pretty good back up drive, however it was not plug and play to install. We had to call customer support, in which they helped, but still not overly easy. We also didn't want it to be just a sync, but more of a backup, which we are still trying to figure out. We have our music on it from iTunes, which we can play from different stereos in the house. This is nice. We haven't tried linking the with movies to our blu-ray player and seeing if it works yet. We bought this mostly to back up computers. Which it does wirelessly thoughout the house, and when we are out of the house remotely.

Easy to Use. Initial setup was very easy!! I Copied 2GB of data and didn't see any performance issue till now, Will be able to tell only after extensive usage.

WD has always done great by me. Love the large capacity and this should hold me over for a long time to come.

Needed it to store my old files from my laptop, more than plenty of space. The cloud is great because you can also use it for your phone and other things.

Plug it in and it works. Has an optional USB port to attach a second hard drive for backing up the device.

Good value for capacity and capability. Easy to set up and use. Mobile connection was good but UI need work.

Works as a reliable smartphone backup. All your videos and pictures will upload when connected to the wifi network. Never worry about running out of space.

The product is good. It is challenging to connect remotely and view movies. I was hoping to replace my Dropbox with this product. Not sure if this will accomplish.

I'm so glad I bought this thing. Having an external HDD is 1 thing, but a NAS with cloud capabilities is a whole other animal. This makes life much easier. Access files at home from anywhere you have Internet access from your phone. Works easy as pie and performance is excellent.

I got this My Cloud as a network attached storage solution for my house. It was simple to get it going, just plug it in to the router, add power and there it was. I run Linux systems at home and this was easy to access, just think how simple it would be for Windows users.

Like the personal cloud storage concept and ability to share media with all family members on the fly.

Great product, and easy to setup. Was looking for something portable, dependent and user friendly. This meets all three!! Able to access my contents from everywhere. Can into awesome use, while I was in Europe. You only need Wifi access, and you are connected. Definitely a must have.
