I originally bought this to use with PlexTV. Either I misunderstood or was given some information that was incorrect, Regardless the WD - My Cloud 4TB External Hard Drive (NAS) is not compatible with PlexTV. in order to use with PlexTV you need to upgrade to the next lever, theWD - My Cloud 4TB Mirror. Otherwise it was a a great product, excellent for backing up computers, just not what I was looking for.

Have over a million picture on the cloud and my phones memory never gets full again,

I'm no expert at setting up and working with a network harddrive and then also accessing it via an internet connection. It works. I do wish I could map to it with my File Manager via my laptop when traveling. All in all it's functional.

this is a great product and the it has lost of room to store all my pictures and files.

I like the product and the installation was OK but my PC did not recognize it. Calling to their tech support was kind of disappointing as the tech support people in Costa Rica had an attitude problem and communication skills were lacking.

Device was easy to setup and allows for easy remote connection. Good backup option as well.

Seems to work fine. I don't trust "cloud" storage, but I also had a major problem when my network drive crashed and all of my important stuff wasn't backed up. Hope I do better this time. Having a drive to share on my network is helpful.

The WD MyCloud NAS is good option for in home NAS solution. Few things that can improve the product. 1. No power button. I get it that its a NAS and runs Linux. Through the dashboard there is an option to reboot, but no option to shut down. This make it difficult to unplug and move the MyCloud. According to the firmware, 2.10 is the latest, and a "Hibernate" option not available. 2. If there is a power outage and not connected to battery back, there is a chance that the NAS can malfunction due to hard shut down. 3. The Dash Board UI can be redesign better. overall a good NAS for the home, with some modification can be even better.

Great product. Easy to connect and use. I would recommend this hard drive to others.

This is a great storage device. The ability to connect to it from anywhere is awesome. The web interface is easy to use both from the internet and the local network. I can also map it as a network drive from a windows machine. The downside is the documentation. Being a computer professional, I can figure this devicw out. But I doubt that average user can figure out how to setup network drive that easily.

WD - My Cloud 4TB External Hard Drive (NAS) was easy to set up on our home network.

Had no trouble setting it up for my PC, my wife's Mac or getting it on the network.

This fits my needs as a backup for all my movies, pictures, songs, etc. Its also nice not having to reconnect everything and move it and to transfer everything wireless. The one drawback is not being able to transfer from another usb harddrive to it directly.

Excellent product. Directions were a little confusing at first as it appears you need a 3.0 USB to connect (not included) but you don't, all you need is an Ethernet cable to connect to your router. Have had no issues since I have my one month of ownership.
