    When Working, Great

Why the one star with such a stark summary? The drive and software worked really well until I needed a document remotely. The drive only stayed remotely operational for seemingly minutes at a time...Really disappointing. WD could use some serious work on their tech support too. I explained that the drive was online through my router and through the local admin but still offline remotely. Unbelievably they still decided to recommend I check the network cables are attached. (In the event you’re not tech savvy reading this, it would be impossible to see the device in either location if there was an issue with the cable.) They sent me to forums to find the answers on my own (to no avail). Longest time it I got it to work properly was about 2 hours after way too many hours of tinkering. To say they were no help would be a gross understatement.

With this unit, I can now store all my music files in one place and access them from anywhere in my house plus back up everything in a RAID format. Never to lose any data ever.

I really like the MyCloud product but I wish there were ways to be able to resend invites to share without having to delete the user and re-add them. The product works well and is easy to work with once you are past the set-up phase.

Back up your files but hard to figure out how best to use it. The add on app Quick Fynd does not work with the NAS in google drive and you can't get any support for the app

These work quite well, I actually have a couple of them configured in RAID1 (mirroring) to keep a local backup of a variety of files. This is an upgrade of prior versions that don't work the best in fitting in with active directory authentication. Decent price point for what you get.

The devices has great network performance. As an added bonus it is capable to run a PLEX Server. If I could change one thing about it I would have a more powerful processor in it. But what it has does a decent job of serving up my media over the lan.

I was skeptical when I made the purchase but I'm glad I did. The NAS works great but needed support assistance to get the cloud up and running but the unit is working great after 3 weeks of use.

This makes lots of noise. The fan is loud and the HD can be annoying. So we returned it. If you are paying 600, it should be more quite.

The software backs up files to you computer hard drive as well as the NAS and there is no easy way to change what drive on your computer it backs up to. The cell phone backup is kinda neat but there other ways to do that and it's expensive. I'd give it a 6.
