Does the job well enough. I've only docked it a star for the relatively loud fan noise, and the slightly slower write speed - which may not be fair, as that's the price that is paid for the RAID backup feature. It also does a fine job running my Plex server.

Setup was easy. No problems getting it to connect and easy to store data on. Backup of iPhone is made really easy in the app. Adding movies was easy. And can see movies on all smart TVs in my house.

After a week, I finally got around to setting up my Western Digital My Cloud EX2 Ultra device. Fortunately, the installation of my drive was flawless. Now, I am trying to learn how to put all of the administrative settings in place for myself and my users. There are a lot of user options to choose from and this appears at this point to be a good thing. I am just going to take my time in learning all that we can do with this device.

As the title says, it was very easy to set up and get started. I have 3 computers backing up to it and I'm backing up photos and videos. The initial backup took a long time since it was a lot of stuff, but accessing it is quick and easy. Exactly what I needed.

Only negative--a BIG negative--is there is no size limit that can be set on shares. A user can use up the total volume with all their media without thought, care, or concern for other users. Extremely short sighted for a function that should be standard for NAS volumes. If you don't care about share quotas, then this product is hard to beat. For this reason alone, in today's media-rich environment, I cannot recommend this product unless WD addresses this significant shortcoming.

I have been a loyal Western Digital buyer for many years. Recently they stopped supporting my old cloud drive, so I decided to get this one as a replacement. I have been impressed so far. Setup and copying data was a little time consuming, but that is to be expected. Can be a little loud when saving data.

My Windows Home Server had begun to fail so I went shopping for a replacement. I couldn't be happier with this product. It is always available from anywhere in the house and the access speed is incredibly fast. It did take me a bit of time to figure out how to configure the drives the way that I like and to grant access, but once I got past the initial setup I have not needed to do anything else but to just enjoy using it.

We us ours primarily for storing all of our video files. We are able to access them easily and quickly through the network and do not have to use up valuable storage on our computers for the video. It works great as long as you are on the network. The apps for accessing data from off site work, but are clumsy.

If you are looking for fast reliable storage for your computer back ups you can't go wrong with this Western Digital NAS. I've used plenty of manufactures from both professional down to consumer and this was the easiest setup I have ever had with a NAS!

So glad I purchased. This serves as my music server. It has Plex pre-installed and I use Symfonium on Android to stream. It's perfect. Plus serves as a picture backup for my wife and I. Easy access so we can both see the pictures each other takes. Very easy setup.

Good drive for backups. It’s not very fast but it was easy to setup and has been reliable for few months now

Great for small business. Takes a little getting used to with how you set up, but watch the YouTube videos and it is pretty ease to map the drives. From there, it works perfectly.

We wanted to be able to backup our music collection, photos and other documents from our 2 computers but we didn't want to use "the cloud". This was perfect! It was easy to set up, took about 15 minutes. It's set to backup once a week - no problems so far. It's small and quiet, we forget it's there - but feel great knowing it's there. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to backup their important files without having to rely on "the cloud".

Works well, it has been reliable while I have used it and not problems. Software is a little clunky, but not bad. Not many options, which is part of what I like… it is well designed for intended use.

I am very pleased with the ease of set up and operation of the Personal Cloud Storage. Western Digital makes a good product for home file sharing and collaboration. Capacity of the drive will store what we need to share for years to come.

I’m very happy with this NAS device. The performance and reliability is far superior to my previous device. I love that I can share pictures to remote friends and family. The IOS app could use some updating but overall it’s functional.
