Used this device to backup my Windows Apple Mac computer. I do not plan on using the online cloud access . It was easy to setup a Time Machine backup for my Mac desktop and two other family MacBook laptops. The windows backup setup easy. Been using for a few months now. No problems.

Great way to have all your stuff in one place. Connects to all my devices. You can even share individual folders with others if needed.

Excellent product! Super easy to setup. I was able to upload all my pictures and documents from my phone and tablet with ease. The configuration of folders vs. files is a little clunky, but otherwise fine.

Setup is just minutes on android and iOS. My windows 10 PC recognized it without any effort but loading software. I would recommend most any Western Digital device. Remember to get the most storage you can afford!

Sleek design, runs quiet, quick set up. Not for power users - but functionality is more than sufficient for simple storage. Would be better with increased PLEX functionality and support. I ended up going with a more appropriate option.

Easy set up. App could use some work. It comes with Plex access so it’s super easy for using it as a Plex media server. It can’t be directed connected to a device through USB which is a little curious but it works well as a basic NAS.

I decided to add this cloud hard drive to our system. This has given my wife and I the ease to work from anywhere. We can now access, alter, and save files from anywhere in the world with no subscription fees.

Very good for networking external hard disk . I have 5 desktop/ laptops. Now We don’t need to move it anywhere. We all can access the data remotely. Great storage.

The WD My Cloud Home is great for accessing your files anywhere. Easy set up and easy to use, but works much better once you read the online manual. Definitely got my money's worth with this hard drive, very convenient.

Easy set up for My Cloud. I had very little trouble setting up the My Cloud drive. Once set up, and after reading all the info several times, I understood much of the capability of the My Cloud drive and apps for it.

Been running My Cloud Home for over a week. Backed up 4 laptops, 5 IPhones, and a desktop to it. This is a great device to easily and quickly backup files. It is not really a NAS device. If you want a real NAS skip this. I have this connected to Netgear Nighthawk AC5000 router with Cat 6 cables. I really like speeds to connect via gig speed internet. Previously had 4T hard drives connected to USB3 port on router for backup. This is far easier to set up, faster, and very easy to continually backup pics and videos on all family Iphones. For the purpose of simple backups and file sharing this works well. I didn't need full NAS capability so am glad to not hassle with setup or cost of a full NAS.

Having two little kids, the photos on the phone really build up fast, and I had been searching for a solution for quite a while where both mine and my wife’s phones could combine our pics, kind of like google photos. Love the google option, just don’t trust it’ll be around forever and ever. This is a great alternative for saving photos. The cons are the lack of options for saving other folders from my phone like the downloads. Very hard to figure out. Other con is that it won’t act as a regular hard where you can open a file on your computer and just move things around. I don’t know, I don’t love it but don’t hate it. It works as advertised though, so can’t complain about it.

This was purchased for an easy to use backup and file storage for a single computer, to be accessed by others. Set up was extremely easy. I am very computer literate, however, if I recommended this to someone who was not I would not worry about them setting it up.

I bought this expecting a hard disk I can access on my home network through my router. Instead it turned out to be a public server that's password protected. I decided to deal with it and proceeded. When I tried to install the external software on Windows, it continuously failed. I contacted WD's customer support; they didn't read any of my messages and gave me boilerplate emails. I spent over 3 days trying to fix the software problem to no avail. I gave up and returned the NAS to Best Buy. It's really disappointing that there aren't many competitors in this market, but don't buy this if you're working on Windows.

I’m pleased with this product. I didn’t want to spend the money on a server, so I went with this choice. It backs up my phone, social media, and files from my computer. The remote access is a nice feature, too. You
