The My Cloud Home Duo is an excellent NAS device for storing photos & data that you then can access from anywhere via the browser connection. We used it as a Network Storage Device to hold a QuickBooks database. The transfer speeds are excellent and it works fine. The only drawback of this 'Personal Cloud' is that it does not have an administrators access account to monitor and manage individual sectors. You have to get the higher end NAS for that. Otherwise it is fine.

I love my WD - My Cloud Home Duo. This is a must have for anyone with storage needs that includes the added safety of back up drive.

I purchased this external cloud to store my family pictures. I will only buy WD external drives.

We use this on our office so we can now all work on the same projects without having to hand an external hard drive around. The perfect solution for what I was looking for.

WD tried to change how people use home storage and they failed to account for everything we learned asking the way. This device is not a generic NAS, it leverages a website and local installed application for access. No reasonable ability to Map a network drive, configure FTP access or control the device configuration. If all you want is a website to drag and drop files this is fine. You can create local users but the admin has no rights to view the regular user content.

Backs up all my data and videos. I recommend this to anyone.

This personal cloud solution is unparalleled. I’ve had it for over a year now and it’s still going strong. It’s easy to set up, the software interface is a pleasure, and it’s suprisingly fast, even when outside the house! I’ve convinced so many coworkers to pick one up because they’ll see me accessing it remotely and think it’s the coolest thing (which it is). I also LOVE the plex server feature. It lets you very easily turn this thing into an always-on plex server so I can remotely watch movies that I’ve stored on it through the beautiful plex interface. It’s a really awesome little machine for the price!
