I purchased as portable backup protection for my laptop. 5 stars for being simple plug in and forget operation, very small footprint no bigger than a wallet.

So much is taken for granted but so essential. Fast USB 3.0 responsive and good capacity. Very straight forward and easy setup. Used this one for archiving freeing up space on the PC's primary drive. I simplified it to one step by grouping client photos in year folders, keeping the past year on the active hard drive, so as I created the 2018 folder, moved the 2016 folder to this drive.

This external HD is a user friendly product. Allows 2TB of upload and makes it a very convenient tool for travelers. Saves time when going trough security at airports when there is no need to carry an extra computer with you, unless you must keep working at all times. Enjoy the flight then using this HD to carry on all the movies you did not have time to watch.

Haven't installed yet, but I completely trust the person who advised me to buy this product; thus, I expect nothing less than perfection from its performance!

A friend had purchased one and recommended it when my previous HD crashed. Works great. Especially for the size. Longevity will be the big telling factor.

This external HDD has a solid feel, was very easy to set up for initial and repeated use and has solid speed performance at USB 3 speed. You can keep it connected all the time for backup or use it for occasional big transfers like MKV files. Nice that it includes it's own USB cable, and as with WD Passport family items, the shock/anti-slip pads keep it in place while being used.

Bought this for a time machine backup and a windows backup. After some reformatting and partitioning was able to get this working the way I want it.

I purchased this drive to replace a WD My Book drive. The form factor is great that it eliminates having the drive plugged in to power all the time as it gets power directly from the USB 3.0 bus. The color of the case is as nice touchand makes it easier to recognize in my multi drive setup. The speed of the drive is adequate to keep up with the Xbox One and run games without stutters.

Sadly the blue one I bought had some issues with the partition right out of the box so I had to return it. Best Buy switched it out with a new one (they only had black at the time) and it works great. I needed something bigger to put video projects on. Some of the video files can be up to 50gb and this handles them great. Transfers pretty fast and doesn't lag like some have.

Very easy to use. Very small so it fits in little spaces. And hold alot.

Works as promised. Easy set up and configuration. This is the third one I have purchased and been happy with all three. Good bang for the buck.

I work in the film industry. I use the WD My Passport for to output final videos produced for clients. I specifically use this for PC systems.

I bought an inexpensive laptop with very little storage and this Passport makes up the difference. It's easy to use. I can back up my computer as well as have photos, videos and documents easily available. The small size means it is very portable and the blue color stands out and lets me know at a glance that this is the 2T sized one. The price was great at Best Buy.

Excellent travel companion for my luggage. I carry Travelpro and this fits within the compartment allowing easy access to power when I need it.
