I bought two of these to do back-ups of my 2017 iMac hard drive, running macOS Catalina. I've owned them for about 1-1/2 months, and they have worked flawlessly so far. When I first connected them to my iMac, they were immediately recognized and I immediately made the back-ups. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. BTW, there was only one USB 3.0 cable, with an additional USB-C adapter.

Good value for 2TB of storage. Not the fastest access times. Accidentally purchased this for my PC, but it's super easy to reformat correctly.

Works great to back up files and it's nice it came with a USB plug and a USB-C adapter to work on older and new MacBooks. Ordering online and picking up at the store was very convenient.

Despite it being for "Mac", the hard drive works fine for Xbox Series S storage. It does NOT, however, play the X/S upgraded games. I recently broke mine via long drop (thank God for warranties) and got a replacement and it works just as good as my first. Never a hiccup after over a year with my first and I fully expect this one to hold up just as well.

Wow this is an amazing external hard drive. I had never backed up my MacBook before and wanted to make sure I got a great external that wouldn’t corrupt the files as I was moving them over to a new MacBook. I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money on it since I only need to use it once every few years. In the store I was debating between 2 different hard drives and asked an employee what the difference was and he answered my question very thoroughly but even better he actually pointed me toward the Apple section that carried the same hard drive but in a version specifically designed for MAC OSX. Very happy with this purchase

Easy to use and very helpful for clean up the computer

Performs as advertised, easy installation, no problems!

Even though this is still a spinning drive, you can't beat the economics of this device. You're really not compromising much considering the savings over an SSD. Just be sure to have it stationary BEFORE you plug it in and always wait for it to spin down after you've unplugged it and BEFORE you lift it off the surface and start moving it around. It will last MUCH longer if you follow these simple guidelines.

This is the perfect storage to save your photos and movies.

Small, light, packs easily, and provides 2T of storage space. So much cheaper than what it would have cost to buy a MacBook Pro with 1T of hard drive space. Been using external hard drives for storage for years.

This product was easy to navigate the software installation and transfer of data from my laptop. My iCloud would not connect to the cloud part of the software so I had to manually transfer things.

Love this device. I have transferred many things off my computers and this drive is great and worth the value
