I looked up the reviews for this product and saw everyone liked it so I had to try the 2TB hard drive for myself. Easy to install with the PS4. Only took seconds to make it compatible. Would recommend to all PS4 users!

I picked up my PS4 within months of lunch and needless to say have accumulated many games through purcahse and PSPlus. I found myself for a very long time deleting games off the internal hard drive to make way for new ones, which would make it very difficult to go back and play other games. I saw this item a few times in store and was hesitant to pick up due to cost and fear that it would not work well (Games would take too long to load through the USB, difficult setup). During my regular browsing on best buy I saw the item on sale and decided to give it a shot and so far it has worked phenomenally. Setup was a breeze. All new games whether is be PS Plus monthly downloads or new purchases download directly to the external hard drive without prompt. I now feel like I have a much larger game library at my hands to play whenever I want compared to before when my PS4 could only hold a few games since AAA titles used to take up so much space. This is a must own for anyone with a PS4 and is struggling with storage!

We are so happy with this hard drive! The small size was a nice surprise to easily fit next to the PS4...rather than a bigger unit to rearrange behind tv or elsewhere. The best thing about this is that it was as immediate plug and play storage option. We were maxed out on memory (thanks to the measly HD space PS4 gives) and this immediately was recognized and provided a seamless path of additional storage without hesitation or work! I'm so happy with it and loaded all the other Christmas and birthday games that were sitting due to a lack of space! And... reloaded older games I deleted too! Don't hesitate... this is a great storage option!

This works really well. Just plug it in and then you can start installing moving games to this storage device. This is a must have because it really opens up how many games you can have and the speed is good. It is a night and day difference between having it and not having it for your ps4.

This 2 TB gaming storage device is just what I was looking for. I have a 1 TB PS4 console that had 56 GB of storage space left, after deleting some games. This device is like having two more consoles of storage space immediately. Hook up was a snap(5 mins.). The 4 TB was a bit much, I think, because by the time I would have filled the 4 TB one, the PS5 will be out, hopefully with more storage space available. Oh, and it's small and portable so you can take it anywhere, to a friends ps4 or where ever and just plug it in to another ps4 console and play all your games there. You can get the carrying case for it also, if you want. It's extra charge.

I bought this because my 1tb hhd I installed in my ps4 was full. Now I have a whole other 1.84 GB to play with! Whole thing too 5 mins to get going. Jus unbox, plug in the front of the ps4, it automatically see it, format and that's it. I love it!

I was hesitant on buying this for my PS4 because I haven't had much success with previous hard drives. With this particular one, it's very easy to set up and you can download directly to the device by choosing that option in the settings on your system. Just keep in mind that if want to play games or view the content that you download, make sure you know whether you downloaded to your system or hard drive. If you play a lot of games at the same time, I recommend getting the 4T hard drive. I just purchased this to see how it would work and I love it!!!!

Not much to say here. It extends your Playstation's storage to allow for additional game installations. It's not solid-state technology so it is on the slower side, but it is plug-and-play and integrates seamlessly with the PS4. I've had it for about 6 months now with no issues. The value proposition here is twofold: first it's verified to work with the PS4 (you don't have to format the drive beforehand) and it has significant space. 2 TB is more than enough for the vast majority of users. If you're feeling less frugal and more bold, you can look into buying either an external SSD and formatting it appropriately or replacing the PS4's internal drive with an SSD. The value with this product is primarily convenience.

I bought this drive so that I could have more games I got through PS Plus flash sales available to play. This drive is a good size if you don't have a large number of games to download/install. Overall this drive has worked pretty well for me and it works quickly and manages to keep a lot of games available to play. As a side note I recommend putting any games you like most directly on your system but this is good for a library on the go to a friend's house to play your games. I recommend getting a case for it if you do that and there is a really good one available via best buy that can keep the drive and cable in separate pockets.

I highly recommend adding this 2 TB external gaming storage by WD to your PS4 system. It is fully compatible with PS4 platforms. It's such a time saver and relief to not have to worry about having enough storage on ur system when you update your game or even when you want to add a new game. Before, i used to have to erase an old game before adding a new one. With the added storage, there's plenty of room!

I bought this hard drive to supplement the low storage capacity on the PS4 and have not been disappointed. The device is easy to use and has thus far been reliable.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 15-year old son for his PS4. Simple enough that he set it up by himself and had it moving files within a few minutes. Definitely recommend!

It is my belief that Western Digital is one of the most reliable brands when it comes to backing up data. This disk was literally a plug and play kind of device. Once connected to the PS4, I followed the three simple steps that came in the first page of instructions, and instantly formatted the memory ready to use for more games!

Just plug it in, and BAM! Storage for dozens of games. SSDs are definitely faster, but you can't beat this for the price.

this is a great size, capacity and performance for a hdd that is formatted already for ps4 storage.

Installing the external storage to a PS4 console proved to be quick and simple. Plug one end of the supplied USB cord to the new drive and the other to a USB slot on the front of the console and then power up the PS4. Follow the little quick start guide to let the system know to look for the new storage and you're done. No more removing existing games to make room for a new one. Although I can't speak to longevity I'm quite happy with the My Passport Portable for now.

I got a new laptop and my files will not automatically transfer like they did when I got my old one. My old one was acting up and I was afraid that I would lose everything if it suddenly died.. I got this and it was SO easy to use. I just plugged it in and started the transfer to it. I hooked it up to my new one and transferred the files to it. Easy Peasy.
