The WD Solid State Drive (SSD) was smaller and lighter that I thought, which was a good surprise for me. Also, I was impressed with the transfer velocity of the device. The only detail that I found was that it requires administrative permits on the computer where you are going to use it which is not always the case for companies laptops and desktop.

Works great. DLL found it immediately. No issues. Will buy this brand again.

You can't go wrong with any of these Passport SSDs. If you need faster, get the Samsung T5. But if speed is not #1, this will be a better value. Reliable, fast (relatively speaking). Tiny. Teeny. Itty Bitt.

My laptop only has USB 3.0 ports but with this drive attached I can't tell the difference in access between it and the internal SSD. This is my second one of these drives. Both work perfectly.

It's always nice to find a product that functions well and looks great! The Passport is portable and provides ample storage. The backup software is incredibly useful.

This drive, which most WD drives does, works great. I needed something I could carry that was small & had plenty of space, & this is it!!!

This is a solid SSD that is suitable for all the tasks you can throw at it. From video and photo editing, to simply backing up your system, this will get the job done. I think one annoyance I had was with the cord that came with it.. It wouldn't be securely fit to the USB-C connector of my MacBook so the drive would randomly disconnect at times. Although overall I would recommend this to a friend, because Samsung just released a faster drive for around the same price and build quality, I would steer you towards that for your purchase. Happy living!

Are use this as a fast and light edit drive for a video projects while traveling. It works just fine for that.

This is an interesting SSD for both personal and business use. It is very light and a partial metal case which I think makes the device more durable.

I wanted a small fast drive for carrying photos around during my photo trips. It worked well, then crashed and destroyed everything. Did this twice, so not using any more. Seems to mess up the FAT.

While SSD prices are higher than traditional portable hard drives, they are more durable, especially for those who travel a lot. I keep my images on this drive and performance very close approaches that of my internal ssd drive.

This “drive” is pretty good. I wish the unit came with both a shorter cable to fo with the 12” cable.

Over all of my years in computing, I've come to trust WD products. My opinion did not change with this purchase! Currently, I'm using this drive to move large volumes of data from a standalone/isolated computer to another computer for data processing. The standalone computer is in a remote (geographically) location, so the SSD helps me to reduce the chance of data loss due to a crash from the vibrations the drive receives as I make my way to the computer's location (along a winding rocky road). Because of the success I've had with this drive, I'll gladly buy more when needed!

I originally bought this product to be a backup SSD but ended up being really satisfied with the speed so we are now using it for video editing.
