I really like the hard drive for it's small, compact size and reliability as a back up. I had My Passports before and they have never crashed. I usually need bigger hard drive space eventually and pass the smaller ones along to other in the family who have never reported problems.

I purchased this as a replacement to my seagate which the first one went bad & was out of warranty & the second one didn't even work right out of the box. I haven't had issues with the WD & regret that this wasn't my first purchase. Great drive with no issues this far.

Just bought this recently and love it! I have a couple of older ones that aren't nearly as easy to use as this one is. I use it basically like a flash drive. Works perfectly. Nice and small too for easy travel.

Probably the best external drive for size, weight, storage - 2TB and transfer speed USB 3.0. Worked flawless in transfer of about 1.5 TB home video to family member as holiday gift. It is perfect for photographers and videographers for external storage in the field from camera / camcorder to laptop to the Passport Ultra 2TB External USB 3.0. In such situations typically needed is speed and lots of storage with minimal weight / size, and this is the best unit I have seen, especially for the cost. I did not attempt to use included software and stored onto a disc in case relative decided to use.

This device is absolutely flawless in operation, seamless in using it with my laptop and is highly-reliable. There's been not one glitch and it is one of the best investments I've made to ensure having my data preserved safely. I highly recommend it.

The drive works as intended. USB 3.0 seems fast as usual on my laptop. I have transfered all files from a small 500GB WD which has been pretty reliable for me over the past few years. No WOW factor but no problems as well. I've only been using it for a week now so hopefully it last a few years as I usually put a beating on my portable hard drives. I plan to place a good number of Virtual Machines on it and DVD-Videos.

You can't beat the WD My Passport drive for portability, speed and reliability. At 2TB volume, I have enough space for all my music and Karaoke files with more than half the space still free (and we're talking well over 100,000 files)!

I like the reliability of western digital hard drives. This particular drive can fit in my pants pocket. The encryption was a little tricky finding out how to set up but once set up, it is good.The drive hold 2 TB and transfers using USB 3.0 are fast except when I am transferring a lot of smaller files. I was backing up a few thousand old pictures about 50K each and it took a long time. I would definitely buy again and own 6 of these drives now. Two other brands of portable hard drives I purchased do not work as quickly as western digital.

I bought 2 of this for my office, to use with my iMacs as time machine back up drive. It has been almost 2 years and working good. no complain. Always connected and using 24/5.

Was looking for something to replace my old 1Tb desktop WD Hard drive. This has twice the space and is less than 1/4th of the size. And since I have pretty much done away with my desktop, I love that I can take it everywhere.

A compact and lightweight external drive with plenty of storage space. Easy to set up with continuous, periodic or manual backup. Uniformly good reviews from multiple sources and good price at Best Buy made this a no brainer. Accommodates both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports for those with multiple computers with different specs. Also provides password protection, hardware encryption and cloud storage option (requires Dropbox account).

It's very good to use at home theaters sistems work with media centers. Save movies, shows, musics, photos & more...connect a wd live media center and have a nice nigth!!! It's good to use to back up files of computers also!

I got this on sale and I have NOT regretted it. It is transportable, inexpensive, has a ton of space, and after transferring files from a smaller hard drive, I am still happy with all the space left. This was worth my money.

This hard drive is perfect to expand your Xbox One memory.. Its pretty much plug and play easy to format on your console. Buy this than going to Gamestop and buying a over priced external hard drive for your Xbox One.

This is fantastic. It is small, reliable and easy to take on the road when travelling. So easy to set up that a child could do it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for that extra storage space or for back-ups.

I needed something that held more data. ALso, one that would make it easy to put data from one computer into another without losing any info. The Passport does it all. Also, it was on sale for $50.00 less. It was $150.

Like the portability and the size. I can have most of my desk-top work on it and work while traveling. Love the password protection in case I lose it. It is fast. Would have preferred it in different colors though.

I have owned the 1TB version for the last 6 months, and that has done very well. This 2TB version will allow me to keep hundreds of movies. The size is a plus as well, as it easily hides behind any media player.
