Awesome External Memory

I will keep with this make since its done great in the time that i have used them...

Excellent Hardware; Software, not so much

It has great storage capacity and functions beautifly as a straight hardware transfer device. But don't even bother with the ridiculously complicated "do everything for you" software. I originally loaded the software but immediately removed it after attemting to use it All in all a very nice and attractive storage device,

Plenty of storage as backup for my notebook

Works great with my DVR

Followed the specs I was advised for as to USB compatability and storage size, plugged it in, it formatted itself. Transferred all the stored movies to it, works great!

large capacity in a small package

Not the cheapest drive in its class though. Transferring files via USB 3 is fast. WD needs to include bundled software for mac users also, since the drives work with Mac as well.

And I am very impressed with how good it is working out for me. So far it has done the back up very well with out any problems.

Great addition to new laptop

Low heat was generated by the drive after hours of transferring files (previous ones have become to hot to touch).
