I needed to replace an old 3.5 HD and this was perfect. Of course you're always missing a small percent of the advertised space, but it was nothing dramatic. If you have usb 3.0 ports, this is the way to go.

This is my 3rd WD purchase and i love their build quality. I have had very bad experiences with seagate. Lost all of my kids pics and videos when the hard disk crashed. WD never let me down. Very good buy.

The design for this external hard drive is great ... slim and easy to take from place to place. I also like the color since it coordinates with other equipment. I liked the idea that the hard drive came with a case. This hard drive was easy to use with any computer, and I have used it with 3 different ones already. It would be better if the cord was longer.

This was installed as a back up drive as a back up drive for a computer running Windows 7. Set up went quickly with no problems.

Able to store music or work drafting files. Best places to keep a large amount of documents.

Have other WD portable HDs; Was going to Galapagos for photo trip. Needed something light, reliable and fast on transfers - shot almost 15GB of images per day. Intergrated to my system without problem.

Got it as a gift for my sister, so it's mainly a storage for her photography. So far, no complaints. It does what it's needed.

Bought to replace an older model that no longer worked. Really like small size. Really wished there were more printed directions for the dinosaurs like to understand set up before turning it on.

I just love this product. So much storage...I can back up the pictures on my phone and free up space, I can load movies for a long road trip...love, love, love this product it!!!

I have used a lot of usb storage devices over the years and most are not this sleek looking. I generally buy the largest size at the lowest price and on this one I hit gold. A great looking value.

This is just a basic external storage disk, but works great. Very small form factor with a huge storage capability. Can't beat it for the price.

Great little HD. I'm primarily using it for backing up my computer. It comes with Western Digital's SmartWare Pro which makes backing up easy. Easy fast instalation, overall great quality item.
