I found that, this podute was a great for my xbox 1. It has the great speed and also big for all my down loads. I have my app. and games on there. Out of 2TB I have 1.4 left. 20 apps. and 32 games on there. Outstanding produte and I am happy with it.

I bought this to use as a backup drive for my MacBook Air. However, it is not formatted for the Mac and the one that is formatted by the factory for the Mac OS is more expensive. Annoying, and unnecessary. However, in about 10 minutes using Disk Utility, you can erase, format, partition and encrypt the drive so that it works perfectly and securely. Now, if only it were still a little less expensive, it would be great.

Great product, fast, easy installation, and easy to carry

Would recommend this to any one. Very compact and quiet operation. Works with windows 8 with additional free app but you could get one to operate with Mac as well. Very quick read and write and endless amount of storage. Will take years to fill this

Excelent external storage for my extensive DVD library. Able to convert my original DVDs to MP4 format (using inexpensive software "WinX DVD"). I have already converted over two hundred of my DVD movies and haven't even used 10% of the 2 TB capacity.

My first WD Passport crashed and the staff at Best Buy are not able to restore data on this particular model...buyer beware!!!

I backed my computer and that worked fine. Then someone thought it would be good to partition the hard drive, so 1TB could be used for backing computer and the other 1TB for dragging photos and videos. Unfortunately, when it was partitioned, it wiped out my previous back up. I have not been able to retrieve it. So, I think the hard drive works fine, but I would not recommend with experimenting with partitioning it.

This is awesome becuase it is Mac compatible and is much cheaper than a Time Capsule

Bought November 2013, DIed April 2015. Was used as a file storage drive that was not constantly on. Worked fine until a couple weeks ago. When hooked up to PC the computer now says drive can't be used until format. When you try to perform the format it just sits and does nothing. Tried on multiple computers. Don't keep stuff on this unless you have it backed up to another drive.

Great for backing up my mp3's and pictures from my digital camera and my phone. Just plug into a USB port and its ready to use. No having to look for an electrical outlet to power up the drive before connecting to my computer.

hooked up to MAC comp., but can't figure out how to save to the external drive. The directions are no help.

I couldn't have asked for more. This compact unit is great. When I need to take it with, in the back pocket it goes. Backed up all of my movies, music and personal files. I haven't begun to touch the storage capacity.

I had to replace a external drive that had died and this one fit the bill perfectly. The incorporated backup software is simple to set up and I am felling secure that I will not lose my data is I have another issue.

Bought this to back up files for our Association. Works just fine.
