    This is a great hard drive for the price. I have a MAC getting this formatted for a Mac took some time. You need to find the Mac install instructions in the documentation. If you are using a PC it will work right out of the box.

    The 3 stars are not for the drive itself, which I'm sure was fine. I recently bought an iMac, my first non-PC, and needed an external drive for it. Went into Best Buy. They were out of the 2TB drives for Macs, but the salesperson told me the reformatting was easy, so I got the PC version. When I got home, I discovered from my web search that the reformatting was anything but easy. I put the drive back in its box unused and returned it to Best Buy in exchange for the Mac version when they got them in a few days later. So the 3 stars are for the Best Buy salesperson giving me poor information.
