This hard is good for storage, if you don't want it put to much things on your ssd. Although it's not the fastest, it doesn't take to long got downloads. I would recommend a ssd for everyday use downloads but this is great for backup storage.

I really, really, REALLY love this External HD. I love how it's compatible with Mac ONLY, so I don't have to keep switching from Mac to Windows formatting and back (gets too complicated and confusing). I also really like how it will back up my Cloud drives (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.). I am very content with this purchase so much so that I bought two!

I have used several WD hard drives over the years and this has been one of the slowest. I can not use Final Cut Pro X with files on this drive because it’s just not fast enough. For other storage it’s great but I use a lot of storage with making videos on Final Cut Pro

I bought this because I was having trouble with my laptop that had everything on it. I was afraid it was going to die on me. I did some research on my phone. Ran to best buy, back to work, put all my files into one file. Plugged this monster into my laptop and put the file into it. BAM......saved. I bought this specific one because it works well with Macs.
