    Bought the 8 TB red pro for it's 5 year warranty and the fact that it's 8 TB. Personally I think 8TB is the sweet point when balancing capacity, price, and disk failure risk. Put 4 in a NAS and running flawlessly. These drive are a bit louder during disk seek but efficiency numbers are pretty good, better than the lower TB models and certainly better than non-NAS drives.

    Needed more storage for a recent HTPC build. Filled up a 5TB hard drive fast and needed more storage found a great deal on this 8TB hard drive. I've always had great luck with WD hard drives this should last me a while.
