This is a great product especially for the price. It connects to all the usual services (ie. netflix) and also lets you stream media from your home network hard drives. It comes with a remote control and also has the option to download an app to use your smart phone as a remote control. Great value for the price

Wasn't a movie buff but this small equipment have converted me to watching movies with popcorn in the comfort of my home.

I had a Sony player that couldn't read my NAS storage, this worked perfectly. Also, read every different file type I had: avi, divx, mkv.. steams nicely.

I love this product because of its easy functionality, easy set up, loving the wifi.

After trying several other media players, I ended up with this one because it actually see's the movies I have shared over the network. It not only plays them well the remote functions perfectly so its much easier to pause rewind etc. simply using the remote. No more fussing with a keyboard and mouse. I'm thinking about getting one for every TV in the house because of the ease of use.

I wanted a way to not have to plug my computer into my television and to just put files on a hard drive for access. this did the trick, and it gets me straight to some great web services.

I love it. It is very easy to use and hook up. It is very portable.

It does everything that I needed it to do for my HDTV. I bought a chromecast right before this and didn't even realize that the wd tv live did what that does and more; saved $35!

Great Product. Got some buffering trying to use Wifi. However as soon as I hooked up an Ethernet cable I was flying hi. Netflix works great. Wish WD would add some channels like Plex.

This is my second WD Live player. It has an USB input, so it easy to hook up a HD. Connection is sometimes flaky, but works most of the time. Overall a good player for the price.

Plays many media formats, directly to your tv, allows you to organize, manage all your multimedia files without using your pc.

The WD tv is a great product at a great price. If your looking to add an entertain system to home, i highly recommend this.

Pain to use remote to enter Web sites, or anything that requires typing. This was main reason we returned it. Everything one would like to ck out requires $ or registration to just ck it out, be nice if one could preview the apps to see what each service offers. After joining one we found our internet speed to slow, an we have a fairly fast connection. If one had a good speed ( I think 5 mg +) and a easy way to type in what one is looking for would have keep it. Going to give the apple one a try.

the wdtv live plays many video formats and music. i bought it because it had a usb port to plug i an external usb device and play the movie that i have converted. the formats it will play are numerous and i have't found one that it will not play. there is one with a built in 1TB hard drive but i did not need it since i already have one.

All in all, not bad. Slow response with remote that comes with device, but downloadable app takes care of that.

Totally enjoy using this is actually my second device. Made my not so "Smart" TV at least "Bright", the only thing it's missing is internal storage.

Great product. Plays everything. Fiber optic audio is great. Only media streamer around that can handle reading hard drive over 2TB. I have a 4TB and it reads it perfectly. Just keep the firmware up to date. Very satisfied and would highly recommend!
