I barely remembered this. I was in HS when it happened. I'm so glad they made a movie to honor this school and the people.

I got this for my mom since she likes to watch movies that are based on true events. They took the time to make a great movie and to cover what many different people were doing and what they were going through. I didn't even realize 2 hours had gone by I was completely into the movie. I don't want to say to much to spoil anything but it was at a great price also.

There's something so special about college football, especially when teams have a story that inspires others. We Are Marshall is one of the greats. It tells the story of a football team that rises from the ashes—literally, and it will leave you remembering that on any given day, an underdog can rise up and be something magical.

McConaughey does an amazing job in his role as the new coach for Marshall. It was a gut wrenching film about a town that lost so much and chose to fight through that pain in order to grow stronger through that pain.

Very good movie and cool cast. Good football action. Yours truly Mike Ornelas.

This was great movie. It's a shame how this story really happened. Much respect for the families affected.

I have a close friend who grew up in Huntington so I was drawn to this movie to see what really happened. I bought the DVD 2 weeks ago and have watched it 4 times and will watch it many more times in the future. It's a very emotional beginning leading up to the plane crash that claimed so many lives, but shows how a school that suffered such a terrible tradgedy bounced back because of some very determined students and faculty. I would suggest this movie to anyone who loves sports or is looking for a great feel good movie.

This movie never fails to move me. I have watched it several times and each time it gets to me. This is about an entire town reeling from the loss of their beloved football team and football boosters. And how they pull together when times are really tough and work to put their football program and their town back together. Keep a tissue handy.

I'm biased since I'm a graduate of Marshall University and have known the plane crash story since my freshman year. The movie does take some liberties but pretty accurately follows the truth. The actors did a great job portraying the coaches and players and the adversity they had to overcome. I won't lie this movie isn't for everyone, but it is a very endearing story and anyone who loves a great comeback story will enjoy.

This is the movie about the revival of the Marshall football team, after the entire team, besides three players are killed in a plane crash. The movie is based on the true story and is done very well. This is a very tragic story, and as far as historically the team has a lot of trouble ever reviving itself for many years after the tragedy. This is a good sad sports movie if you are in the mood for something that does not necessarily have a happy ending. A great movie however, and I would recommend watching it.

Love Matthew!! He rocks, and was perfect for this role. Enjoyable movie even if you're not a big football fan.

This movie was purchased for my grandson as he loves sports movies and he enjoyed this movie very much.

This movie is great if you need to cry, and brings that feel good feeling like Remember the Titans, Invincible, and Gridiron Gang. I love the score of the 70s R & B sound, that helps bring more emotion to this tear jerker.

I always dislike when Hollywood takes a compelling story and decides overdramatize it. The real story behind the young Thundering Herd is interesting and moving and doesn't need false claims about the NCAA, overblown scenes about well-planned out hiring decisions, and fake rivalries. Still, We Are Marshall makes for an entertaining movie and will (hopefully) provide you with the desire to learn more about what really happened. It's a good starting point for anyone unfamiliar with the story, but please don't let it be your sole definition of events.
