I first tried the window mount, but because I live in a very hilly area, I could not get a strong enough signal. I mounted the unit on a pole at the apex of my roof and ran the coax cable through the attic and an interior wall and got an excellent signal. The instructions indicate that it is only rated for 2 rooms, but I get a good signal in at least 4 rooms. I got the 3g version on sale and am well pleased.

Ok this is the key to this device: proper installation. If you do not have the reception antenna the recommended distance from the transmit antenna, you will not get USABLE signal for your devices. The reception antenna that comes with this device is omnidirectional. It works ok. I am looking at buying a directional antenna to boost my input signal. With the omni antenna you will only get the signal you would receive if you were standing at the reception antenna with your phone in hand. It takes the signal from outside and sends it inside. The directional antenna will increase the signal strength before sending it inside because you are pointing it directly at the source. You can get a tower location nearest you from your provider. Also be aware, you must register this device with your local provider.

I live in a "valley" so it's pretty much a dead zone unless I go outside. I installed the booster on top my roof and it has given me 1-2 bars. At times, I even get 3 bars. Friends have come over and they have 3 or 4 bars so it depends on what tower you go through because we all have straight talk, but different phones and different towers. I do have to be in the same room with the signal booster or I get 0 bars. If I were in a better location, it would probably work much better.

After setting up the booster I did receive cell phone signal in my house, however, the system needed to be placed outside the house with a thick cable running inside. This made it impossible to close the window. The wires on this system make it ugly and frustrating.

It helped in receiving calls but sending was not so good. One of the frequencies showed green but the other was only yellow or red. My daughter lives in a very hilly and remote area. Good operation depends on your area. We returned to store.

I work in a 40' x 80' metal building and did not get coverage. Now I have 4 bars and can receive calls, text, etc. Great product!

ThisDevice does as it was described in the literature. The only shortcoming at all the fact that you need to put one of the receivers morning outside window and run a long wire if this was Bluetooth it may work better.

While I think the product is good, it did not work for my application. I believe the outdoor version of the product with a bigger booster would have made a difference.

I purchased the booster to use in the mountains of NC because there is no internet service available. It works great.

Lots of set up, including drilling holes to install outside the house for the best results. I tried the indoor install and it didn't do anything for my service.

Works great. Can now use phones all over house. Had no signal before installing booster

We went from no service to no dropped calls! I wish I had bought it years ago!

My iPhone works now in a steel building. Before I would miss all calls and texts

Product should probably be offered with black cabling.

This boosters inside and outside antennas are very small. It worked good if you were about 2 feet from the inside antenna, but if you went 4 feet or further you would loose the signal.

Needed a more powerful model with a roof mount omnidirectional antenna, tower is only 1/2 mile away.

We have a home with a metal roof in addition to us being in a hard to reach location. This product did not end up helping us. It could be an installation issue because we did that ourselves but I would think there would be some improvement and there is not.

This is a good product, I needed this product to get better reception in my home.

I live in a mountainous region where I can only get one bar if I stand on the roof. I went to Best Buy and found this unit on sale for half price and took a chance. It came with a window mount or a clasp to affix it to an eternal pole. I tried the window mount and could not get a good consistent signal. I mounted it to a pole at the apex of my roof and ran the coax cable through the attic and down through an interior wall. This is a little work but not beyond the capabilities of a typical handyman. After completing the installation, I received 4 bars on the second story of my house and 2 bars in the basement. The unit is only rated for 2 rooms, but that appears to be conservative. I am well pleased with the coverage and the first person I called said that the clarity was better than normal. According the salesman the 4g model is better if you want to use the internet, but I just needed better phone coverage.

If you live somehwere that you dont get service inside and find your self by a window or going outside to just get service this is PERFECT it basically takes the service from outside and brings it in. If there is no service outside dont expect to have 5 bars of 4g lol. GREAT PRODUCT THANK YOU!!
