They were supposed to be a flash in the pan sensation. A gimmick. Turns out the joke was on us. This album holds up. Side one is almost entirely the title track, which is an epic soundscape and in hindsight, their crowning achievement. Still, the hits (“Relax” “Two Tribes”) still pack a punch, and even the cover tracks (“War” “Born to Run” “Do You Know the way to San Jose”) are more than mere filler. Great album.
