    Horrendous setup

    Had a horrendous time trying to set these up. the Android App just cycled through my home wifi and the plug wifi to set it up. After 4 hours of fighting with it i got one setup, then it lost its settings. Gave up at that point and returned them. iPhone app may be different but the android one sucks (Android 10) IF the product had worked reliably they would be great. Build quality is good but ease of use and reliability was terrible. Best answer WeMo could come up with was use an older Android phone or try Apple..... not an acceptable answer.

      The Wemo Mini should have been easy to set up with an Android or iOS device but, we could have tried with a different mobile device for the setup.     These plugs are not that good they don’t stay connected that often have to constantly reconnect I just unplugged them all.

    Worst smart plugs

    I return these to get another brand. I really like that they are HomeKit compatible, but it doesn’t matter when they just don’t work. These plugs randomly drop all the time. Are used to live in a rural area and did not have as many problems with these, but if you have poor Wi-Fi or live in a more populated area don’t waste your time with these. They’re cheaper plugs on the market that function better. The only draw to these plugs was HomeKit compatibility, which doesn’t matter when they show up is not connected 50% of the time

    Pain to pair and too wide

    I have tons of experience with pairing smart devices, however I would not recommend this device for pairing with Smartthings. This is because it has to be paired first from the Wemo app which was buggy at best, and instructions were not clear that this cannot be paired on a 5g network. It is also very wide for a one outlet device, which meant I could not fit it into it’s desired outlet without using an outlet tap. Wish I had done a little more research!

    Difficult to make work

    I think it over saturated my 2.4 wifi. Was using it through Google home. Just stopped working one day and I never got it going again. Threw it out.

    Get a cheaper one

    We started with WeMo when they first came out. They have not kept up with the rest and now the cheaper knockoffs are cheaper and BETTER. The WeMo app is finicky and unreliable.

    This thing is terrible! I’ve had it for over a month and still can’t get it to work! I cannot get it to connect to the Wifi. It just won’t do it.

    Wemo is not reliable

    8 months ago purchase 6 mini size… right now 4 are unable to attach to the wemo app. Biggest problem with wemo is the software. A mini 3 feet from my router and my device can’t connect and none of their “help” is helpful. Their customer service promise a replacement for their insight device and I never got it. Device are great as long as you don’t shut them off. I used to rate wemo the highest, now the lowest. Other manufacturers have to be more reliable.

    Not great. Belkin has poor customer support for any issues that come up with their app, which you have to use to set up the product. There's also no straightforward way to reset and remove devices from your WeMo account within the app. The products do integrate with Google home, but control through Google home devices breaks frequently. Will never purchase another WeMo product again. Maybe my bad experiences are an isolated case, but I would not recommend that anyone buy this product. Far too unreliable.

    This product was bought for my boyfriend and it worked on my phone but not his. I am not sure why I did the exact same steps I did on my phone onto his.

    Cheap and ugly

    Never buy this item. First so many months it needed firmware update until it stopped working after four months. Never buy this cheap item.

    Unreliable and hard to configure

    Hard to configure initially and had to reconfigure after unplugging. Bought 2, never got one to work reliably. Would not recommend.

    Had to change my router. Tried to set it up again from both Android and Ios. Got different errors for each OS never could get it to log onto wireless network. Took it back for a refund.

    This is the most difficult smart devices to setup and I have about 100 different devices in my home. Hopefully the firmware updates will help.

    have philips hue, google home and google chromecast and they all work great. The bemo would disconnect at least once an hour. returned product

    I have purchased several of the 10 amp plugs with no problems, but the 15 amp plugs tend to fail quickly. The set up and connection prices is difficult
