    I have tried for a total of over two hours to set up. I never got it connected. I'm taking it back tomorrow. If something's this hard and frustrating to set up to make my life easier, I'm old fashioned, I'll just get up and turn the darn thing on. This thing is a hunk of junk.

    Does not matter how good the hardware is ...if their app to access the hardware is substandard. The WEMO app often does not work, just spins and if you look at all the review sites it is the same situation. An awful app. Not recommended.

    Don't Buy!

    This is not a secure Smart Plug. I could see and control two other plugs that didn't belong to me. I could also see 2 other people on my app that had control over my plug! Highest level of tech support told me they couldn't fix the issue. I took the plug back the same day. Don't buy it!

    I’ve owned multiple Wemos and everyone of them I’ve had problems with connecting after I’ve set them up, I hate this product and wouldn’t recommend if you need a reliable smart plug, you would be better off with the Amazon version

      It's odd that the Wemo app keeps crashing during setup. As long as the Wemo app's version is 1.18, then it shouldn't be a problem.     Does not stay connected on WIFI

    I bought 2, setup both then there is an update available and so I updated 1 and didn't want to connect to the WIFI. The 2nd one I didn't update and it also would loose connection to the WIFI. I didn't like it, it was a hassle trying to re-connect to the WIFi and returned them both.

    Worst ever!

    I have 2 other makes of WiFi outlet switches and these are the absolute worst. Can't set up or update via a Samsung S8, can't update remotely, they freeze up with out updates, and their tech support is ineffective and unresponsive.

    I bought this with a video Google Home. I didn’t realize that I had to download a completely different App to even use it. Well not even that worked. Couldn’t connect it to my phone OR my Google Home. Complete waste of money.

      Setting up the Wemo Mini should be easy using the latest Wemo app and should be compatible with the latest Android or iOS version. For isolation, try to use a different smartphone and, try to force close and re-launch the Wemo app.

    Poor substitute for the original product

    I bought this assuming it would control the 4 original bulbs I have installed but the hub is no longer serviced and is not available any more. This item only turns on a switch built into the device and nothing else. Very disappointing.

    Will not pair with Google Assistant

    This smart plug will only work with Apple Home Kit or the Wemo App. After many, many tries, Google Assistant will not accept it.

      The Wemo Mini is also compatible with Google Home. Check if your phone or tablet has remote access and try accessing the Mini remotely.     Did not work with my Google Home Device

    I purchased this with a Google Home device and it could not pair with it. It did work with my cell phone but the reason I purchased it was to control it with my Google home. I returned it and got my money back.
