This is my second mini switch, so I was already familiar with the setup procedure. Or so I thought. Followed the steps included, changed the name and went to open the WeMo app, no new devices. Tried to reset it and it would not return to factory. Had to force close the WeMo app and restart it before it would log back into my home wifi. Then I was able to see the new switch and finish the setup. Took about 20 minutes. Once you get them setup they are fantastic. I use one on a daily schedule and the other via voice control through Google Home. Both work great. So I won't kick them too much, but the setup needs to improve IMO. New minis are great in that you can use both plugs on the outlet. Way better than the competitors. The small footprint also means that it doesn't become an eyesore. If I find that I have a need for another smart outlet I will certainly purchase another WeMo Mini.

This device is very simple to set up, use and maintain. I have never had to reboot due to loss of connection like some other smart devices. Scheduling works great and I enjoy the feature to turn off after a set time after turning on, which is great for basements or the garage.

This is small, doesn't block other outlets. There's a little switch on the plug if I want to switch it on/off manually. Once I got it connected to my wifi (which took a couple of tries), Alexa immediately found it and it's been working flawlessly since.

I bought three of these to allow remote resetting (power down then up) of a WIFI access point and outdoor security cameras. The cameras and router require occasional reboots. When I'm home that's not a problem but when away there's no other way to reboot and these smart plugs do the trick. Set-up could not have been easier... Great Product at a great price...

I purchased today Wemo Mini Wifi Smart Plug. Pros: Small in size is very handy. Easy to setup. Better design than older models. Cons: N/A

The best thing about the mini is that it definitely takes up less space. I still can't fit 2 right next to each other on a power strip, but they do fit with a space between them or in a regular outlet. With my insight switches I'm able to set a rule to inform me when it turns on/off. That feature is not available on this version. The reason for four stars instead of five is that one of them randomly forgot my wifi network-causing a bright terrarium light to come on in the middle of the night. Not a pleasant experience, but now that the switch is reconnected it seems to be working fine. I haven't experienced any problems with the others.

This product is easy to set up and use right away. The app is basic but easy to figure out. The only drawback is that you can have one Away Mode setting rather than several. This Mini can be used safely plugged into a power strip/surge protector, but depending on which direction your outlets face, you can be losing up to two other plugs on your strip since the Mini only plugs in lengthwise. This happened to me on a Belkin surge protector, no less. The Mini is easy to pair with Alexa and you call it whatever name you give it on the Wemo app. I plan on getting another Mini, but these are a little pricey.

I have always dreaded the moments right before going to bed where there is a vague uncertainty in the air of who will be turning the floor lamp off. For this very specific problem of mine, I have contemplated various solutions over the years including remote controlled plugs, clapping lamps...etc but none was perfect. Then comes along WEMO! This is a nice little gadget that allows me to remote control various electronics at the touch of my phone. I love it. It was easy to set up, has been so far reliable. I would hope more integrations in the future across platforms such as Siri...etc. But, I am a satisfied happy customer.

I followed the very simple and easy instructions for setup and was able to start using my WeMo in no time. It works flawlessly with Alex and my Amazon Tap. I like how you can rename the device's nickname (e.g., "Joe's bedroom lamp" to "bedroom lamp" and it's smart enough to know that you changed it when you give Alexa a voice command. Tip: name your device whatever you want to say after "Alexa, turn on..." or "Alexa, turn off..." (I ended up renaming mine because it was long and had my name in it--sounded silly.)

This is a great device. It is easy to set up and program. It is fun to be able to turn the lamp on using my smartphone. We are planning on getting additional ones in the future.

Great size, was not hard to connect to my Amazon Echo. But the WEMO app needs some work

I wanted to get something that would enable me to power on devices remotely. Saw a review for the wemo mini and decided to give it a try. So far so good! No difficulty setting it up. I think it can only be controlled by the app on a mobile device, but haven't looked to deep yet(I'd like to control it by using my laptop/desktop computer). Based on my experience so far I am thinking of purchasing another.

Let me say first that the WeMo Mini WiFi Smart Plug is great. It functions well with other WeMo outlets and doesn't hog the whole outlet in which it is plugged into. That said, WeMo's line of outlets and switches needs improvement. For example, no double switches exist. What household doesn't have these? I'd also like to see a switch incorporated with an outlet. Add these WeMo, and I'm sold.

This was a really neat product. My wife and I always come home and have to reach half way across the kitchen to cut a light on. Now when we open the door we just tell Alexa to turn on lights! Makes it safer, reliable, and easy to schedule times if we are not at home. Love the app on the phone too. It was really easy to set-up. I enjoyed it so much I went a couple of days later to buy one for my computer room.

Easy installation and control via the WeMo App. I really like it so I bought 3 more after testing one for awhile. Great device to help reducing my electricity bill. Allows scheduling when is on/off based specific dates/times, as well as turn off based on timer. Something that I would like is web based interface, I understand that currently the control is only via de App. Overall a good product.

I’m unable to get it connected to my google home. I wasn’t able to connect with the WeMo app, but I was able to get it connect to a third party app “Smart Life” app but it only connects one plug at a time. So I would have to disconnect and connect to each plug via WiFi which is time consuming and it’s faster to manually turn off the lights and devices.

I now have several of these located throughout the house as well as the Amazon dot - all I have to do is tell Alexa to turn on the specific light name as I walk into the room. Works great both with Alexa and the WEMO app that you can download to mobile device - you can even set up rules to have them go on or off throughout the day. Great device and easy to setup.

Already had a couple of the full size Wemo switches which have worked just fine. The mini would not recognize my wireless network, but with a firmware update, and assistance from Wemo Tech Support we got it working. Now works just fine. Seems to have all of the functionality of the full-size switch, but is a little cheaper.

I needed a Smart Plug that I could create an off/on schedule for each hour of the day. This plug let me create 24 schedules throughout a 24 hour period that were each 5 minutes long for my sump pump. It worked perfectly and also allowed me to disable a particular schedule if I didn't want it on. I can also control it remotely which is a bonus.
