Just like then other reviews, this problem is more with the app than the product itself, but assuming you bought this to control while away from home, they kind of go hand in hand. This is the worst “smart” home accessory I have every used. Every so often, the wemo plugs decide to become “undetected” by the app and you can no longer control the plug to turn it in or off. You then have to go to the plug and reset it; this has happened several times. One of which it happened when I was on vacation far from home and this lost all ability to control turning that plug on and off. Very frustrating.

I bought this smart switch and works really great!

I bought this WeMo smart plug and after fighting with it more than any device with a single switch was able to get it working. Fast forward a few months and I replaced my WiFi router with a new one from NetGear. I followed the instructions for resetting the WeMo Switch - all 3 DIFFERENT versions of them - and none worked. Come on WeMo? You don't even seem to know how to reset your own device. The app says one thing. The Online support page says another. The FAQ says a third. A quick Google search confirms that most people who change routers have this problem. Unfortunately, after an hour, I had to throw the WeMo in the trash. Waste of money.

DO NOT BUY THIS. IF YOU ALREADY BOUGHT IT. GIVE IT BACK. Does not work. CAN'T CONNECT. KNOWN ISSUE NOW THAT I LOOK ONLINE. NO support. Please go with alternatives.

This product wasted my time and money. I tried connecting it to HomeKit through HomeKit on both an iPad and iPhone 12 Pro. Connection failed. I tried the Wemo App on both Apple devices and a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (terrible app). Connection also failed. I tried all of this in two different locations. Connection failed. Frustrating. Don't waste your time or your money on this product. I have set up several other HomeKit devices in just a few minutes on the same network with no problems. WeMo is just a bad product with a bad App. Avoid.

The mini switch works very well when first set up, but within the first two weeks it has lost network connection three times requiring a complete reset. This even though the Echo right next to it on the same network has no issues.

While easy to set up and usable w both Google Home and Amazon Echo, the units lose wifi connectivity way too much to be considered a stable system. Unfortunately, My conclusion is that the technology is immature and unreliable.

I purchased two of these outlets bc of a sale and wish I'd stuck with another brand. These are constantly disabling external control and will only work while I'm using the app with my Wi-Fi connection. Speaking of apps... These plugs stopped working with Google Home and never was able to connect with any Amazon devices. Currently I'm not able to use Wemo's app because the outlets are grayed out. When I try to perform set up again I get an error message that the cloud is down. Waste of money!!

Nice hardware, quick set-up and phone app, but the software options are confusing. I have yet to turn on my coffee maker successfully. Hopefully in future revs they will make it more user friendly.

I am not even able to connect this device with my phone. The directions are not very intuitive. The app directions do not seem to be up to date, the images of the Android interface are very old and don't align with the current versions of Android. I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps with no success. I would say I am pretty tech savvy, but still cannot figure it out. I have never ever had such difficulties setting up a smart device before.

2+ hours I wasted trying to set this up. My phone is a Pixel and my WiFi is Google. Never could get it to connect properly. I was finally able to get it enabled and remote access enabled (which took at least 5 attempts). But the scheduled timings never one time worked correctly, or even consistently. And the stupid thing will NOT connect to Google Assistant for the life of me. I finally got so angry I just threw the piece of crap in the trash. Utter garbage.

Always losing wifi connection no firm update takes about 10 times to have a connection just garbage

I bought two of these. Both were plugged in the outlet right next to my router. Everything was fine with the setup. So I tested them by powering off or simulating a power outage. Once I unplugged them and then plugged them back in, both will NOT show on my app again. It keeps showing "not detected". The only solution to this problem is factory reset. What I have 10 of these? and I would have to factory reset each of them after power outage?

I bought 2 of these. One to control the window ac unit in my room and the other for a light. They will not connect to my wifi so they will not work. I will be returning them which I have to pay shipping on. I will never buy another WEMO product again! Before buying these please don't make the same mistake as me and read the app reviews on the app store. The app is one of the worst I have used. It is very slow and buggy.

These devices have great difficulty living on an isolated IOT network I've configured for them. They resist moving from the original SSID to a new one. Even after following quite a few support articles addressing the problem, (reset everything, reinstall the app, etc) I can't get it working. Time is a valuable commodity, so I'm done fooling with them and will switch to something else.

I finally understand that WeMo is short for WeepMore I have spent more time moving things or climbing around things to reset these than any convenience they could offer I’ve got four here I’m willing to sell because I will never give them a chance to inconvenience me again. Shame on Belkin for selling these.

These are garbage. I never managed to get through set-up. Support is horrible. Had to read piecemeal through a four-page thread just to get the app to keep from closing during set-up and after all that, the switches would still not connect. I'm returning them and looking for an alternative product. If you buy these and they do not immediately respond, spare yourself hours and just return them.

App won't work with Android Marshmellow on Galaxy Note 4. Tech support said to return the mini unit because it was faulty. Then I tried using an old Samsung S3, and works without a single problem. What does that tell you? They don't know their product like they should. How can I trust the product if tech support can't really support it? Wonder what other operating systems don't work with it?

Do not buy this piece of poop product! Every couple of weeks I have to reset my password. What a waste of time. If I did not have too many of these pieces of doodoo I would go to another system. Customer Service? Totally, totally unresponsive!!! Can I give this terrible product a -10?

I should have done more research so I would have known that this was a Belkin product, so I would have avoided it like the plague. Netgear Nighthawk router and a Pixel 2 phone and it still can't see any of my wifi networks. Took it back to the store four hours after I bought it. Won't buy another "Wemo" aka Belkin, product.
