Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. Makes my house a smart house without having to buy all the devices. I can turn on and off my lamps and appliances all through my app or tell my google home. I’ve been able to turn off a lamp I forgot from over 100 miles away! (My son checked to make sure it was indeed off) I can set a timer to have everything turn on or off at a certain time or after so long. It’s super easy to use and connect. Set up is a breeze. Download the app plug into the wall and then plug in the device you want and hold down the button to connect. Just follow the instructions and you’ll be fine and love it!! Also much cheaper than buying everything to make your home a true smart home!

I love being able to control my lamps with the WeMo, although it seems to have some issues at times, and I'm not certain they are the issue of the WeMo or my wireless router. I plan to replace my AP with whole home mesh, so maybe it gets better, but for now, it's good and functional at least 95%.

These plugs are easy to setup, they are compact, and they just work all the time. I have several Wemo products in my home. Glad I have standardized on this manufacturer.

Easy way to start home automation, just plug in, plug light or small appliance into Wemo. Download app on phone or tablet, log into your wifi network and set up to turn light or appliance on or off. Nest thermostat will link. Easy to control. Really like this Wemo plug. This version doesn't block second outlet.

This plug is exactly what I needed. I never have to worry about leaving the coffee pot on when I leave in the morning. I set it up to only be on for 20 minutes... I turn it on with my phone when I get up, coffee is ready to go when I leave. I can use my phone to make sure the plug is off. Awesome product.

This is actually the my 2nd Wemo switch. I got the first one for Christmas, and the 2nd with rewards. With both switches, the Wemo wifi was slow to turn on after plugging them in, but was fairly easy to set up. I can't image using them without our Echo. You can physically turn lights on & off faster than using the smart phone. They offer a timer, but you can buy a timer for less then 1/3 their cost. They do offer remote on/off, but how often would you ever use it?? But with the Echo. you can activate them when entering/leaving the room. I'm old school, and not that lazy. I would not have bought them had they not cost me much $. But, they are fun, with the Echo,

I love my WEMO smart outlets. I use them in my shop which has variable hours so I needed the ability to setup advanced timing options. It took a while to figure out exactly how to do it and to apply the "rule" to my other WEMO outlets. Now that they are setup they work flawlessly. One area where it could be improved is to chance the design so it does not take up so much space on the outlet. It is wide and as such covers adjacent outlets. It is easily controlled remotely via the app on your phone. I also found is works great with Amazon Alexa and my Echo Dot. I highly recommend this product.

I have 5 of these guys and will be adding more. Simply put, they are more expensive but sometimes things are worth spending a little bit of extra money on... i purchased 1 of these starting off, and 1 no-name brand from amazon... this quickly was the winner, with setup so easy it was done in 2 minutes.

it took probably two hours to get this connected, set up and programmed. The instructions are cryptic, and I really had to fiddle with the wifi connection before it finally did what it is supposed to do. What finally worked in the setup was to place my phone on airplane mode and manually turn on the wifi. Seems the phone tries to hunt for a connection between wifi and cellular which makes the setup not work. That said, now that it is up and running, it is very easy to use, and the smartphone app is simple and functional.

LOVE the flexibility the Wemo outlet offers. I can control my table lamps from my phone using any WiFi. Additional bonus is linking Wemo with Alexa. Very convenient to ask Alexa to control the on/off switch inside the house. Would definitely recommend the Wemo outlet to control any electrical item.

Have a number of these devices with various things plugged into them. Works the way they should & also works well with the Amazon Echo devices. The WeMo app is very easy to use. I suggest if you are trying to automate your house/lights/devices, you stick with the same brand so you only need one app to control it all. Also works with IFTTT. Unfortunately, to make it work with other non-Belkin things or to have it do unique things, you will need to use another app or device, but that's to be expected. Once you get the hang of these things, they are great.

I purchased this additional light to go along with the starter kit that I ordered. I wanted an additional one for our bedrooms. I know have them in the living room and all 3 bedrooms. Nice to use in lamps, just leave the lamps on and use the phone or a remote to turn them on. Easy to set up.

Wemo is super cool and easy to use. The setup was painless, and took only a few minutes. I had no issues, but if I had issues there were additional instructions and a link for help. I have an iPhone and my boyfriend has an Android; we both successfully set up the Wemo app on our phones and use it to turn the device on and off and even set a schedule for the device we plugged in. We plugged in string lights to the Wemo, so they are on a schedule to turn on 15 mins before sunset and turn off at bedtime for us. You can also turn your device on/off anywhere your phone had service to confuse burglars etc. Wemo is very helpful and useful. Definitely recommend it!

Easy to set up with Wemo app on iPhone. Plays well with Alexa. I've tried the Insignia smart plug but it was a headache trying to get it to connect to the Alexa app. 4 stars because no HomeKit support yet, despite rumors earlier this year that they might roll it out.

Great product works well with my phones and Alexa allows me to turn on and off my fan without having to go up to it also allows me to turn off my fan when I'm not in the room or home pretty easy setup and you're usually up and running with it in less than 5 minutes

Bought this to control my stereo receiver with my Google Mini. Setup was pretty easy - I have used several brands of Smart outlets and they all seem to have unique mannerisms when installing, but eventually I arrived at the correct combination of actions and now it works perfectly!

My daughter had bought me the Amazon dot last Christmas and when I saw all the cool stuff it can do I have a list of smart devices I want. The neighbors probably thought we had a poltergeist as much as I turned my light on and off lol. Love it it's awsome will be adding many more.

The Wemo plug was difficult to set-up. There were too many steps and it would often fail in the middle of trying to connect. It took me almost half an hour to set-up. I also have it connected to my Google Assistant/Home and it takes a really long time for the switch to toggle after the command is given. Every other smart thing in my home is done instantly. It also makes a cloud click sound every time the device switches on/off. The Insignia WiFi Smart Plug was much cheaper and had it connected and working in under 3 minutes and works almost instantly when I give a command through the google assistant. I would go with that one if you want something that works better/faster. Although, it is a little aesthetically challenged.

All these years been using a crummy digital timer for lights. constantly adjusting the time. The Christmas tree? every day crawling under it to unplug it and getting pine needles and sap etc. now everything is automatic, turns on when you want it to from anywhere in the world!

The WEMO Smart Plug is very well constructed - almost “industrial”. Very reliable and works without any issues whatsoever. I currently use 3 plugs as well as Phillips Hue and GE C products. Nothing interferes with the other. I have been using the product(s) just over a week, so I don’t know about the product’s longevity. The plug is rated at 15 amps, so any thing that operates on general household outlets should work the same. Some higher wattage kitchen appliances (modern kitchens are 20 amp circuits) could pose a problem - not normally, but could. I would recommend checking with the appliances’ manual for circuit requirements. The initial setup is a bit involved. The WEMO APP is required (no problem) and then you must first use your phone or tablet’s WiFi to connect to each plug to register (I would recommend registering/powering one plug at a time to keep track of which plug is which). After that, you reselect your WiFi. You can use the WEMO APP to control the plugs and/or use with the Google Hub (and I’m sure other systems). I use mine with the Google Hub and this works quite well - easy set up and also compatibility is excellent. I haven’t explored the WEMO APP, but have heard very good reports about using the APP as a stand-alone resource. I do not know how this product compares to other Smart Plugs - I only have experience with WEMO Smart Plugs. However I highly recommend WEMO!
