We have a cabinet with internal lighting that was somewhat difficult to access the on/off control. This device easily corrected that issue as we can now simply use Alexa to control the light. Works as expected!

This is my second WeMo Smart Plug, although the first of this type, the smaller "mini" plug. The size is much better, however, it often disconnects from the app, or can't be found. Kind of ironic then, that it works almost flawlessly with Alexa/Echo, which is made by a different company. Hopefully an update will get this back on track, because I like the idea of the functionality.

Excellent size and great Functionality. Ideal for persons looking to make lamps or other devices smart, by adding the ability to control via Wifi. Or things such as lamps can be set to turn on and off at a time of day. I now have three of these Smart Plugs. I use them for lights in my home and have them on a timer both in the morning and evening. I also get the option to have Siri turn them on and off. Thanks Belkin...

Only 4 stars because sometimes it loses the wifi connection which causes me to not be able to operate it remotely. I have a tri-band router with 100Gb LUS Fiber service and 8 other wireless connected items, so I'm not sure if that's the problem or not. Other than that, I like being able to drive up to my house late at night and usr the app to turn the lamp on inside so that I'm not walking into a dark house.

While this is just one of the many Smart Plug options out there, I can attest that the Wemo - Mini WiFi Smart Plug works like it is supposed to. The set up is a little tedious and the plug occasionally loses WiFi connection (requiring a new set up) but once it's up-and-running it does its job. The corresponding App allows you to group the plugs together into rooms or use them individually, which I found to be convenient.

Pretty straight forward to install if you’re already invested in Wemo’s nest of products. If not, just download the wemo app and it’ll guide you, literally up and running within 5 mins or less

I use this on the only powered tower speaker in my theatre room that doesn't shut down when I power everything off from the TV.Works great when your in bed trying to remember did I unplug it.No question now.

I have a few insight switches which tell you how many watts a device pulls. But I needed a simple WiFi switch for my lamps. This works great. I put them on a timer and they come on and go off automatically.

I have several of these devices and they work well. I can remotely turn on and off lights with the mobile app. It is easy to setup rules in the mobile app to schedule your lights to turn on and off while you're away. The only issue I have is if the internet or power drops, when it comes back on the device will not automatically recover. I have to manually power it down and press a reset button so it will talk to the mobile app again.

Although not perfectly seamless or flush looking, they are handy. We own a half dozen or so. We use them for several home automation tasks. Turning on/off a lamp when we aren't home, allow Alexa or Google to turn off lamps while we lie in bed, etc. Works with Apple's Homekit as well so can control via Wemo App or Apple's Home app. My daughter even uses it with Google Assistant for her bedroom lamp.

This easy-to-use plug in for a light, heater, or Christmas tree makes controlling your devices a breeze! I have four and programmed them for various spots throughout our home. I bought two more for gifts.

I have a few other Wemo switches of the older style, but needed another one for my Christmas tree. This works perfectly as advertised. I use it with both a Google Home and Amazon Echo without issues.

This is a really easy to use great product. Download the app, it easily connects to your Wi-Fi and then thru the app add the devices. You can then control any plugged in lamp or appliance from anywhere

Okay, this works as described. The problem with most of these devices are all the names of the companies creating them. They all want you to have an account with them. In order to try that, I did create a WeMo account. I downloaded the app. Overall that part wasn't hard. I connected my WeMo account to Google home (nest). After that, the account has no meaning. Eventually over time the device was unreachable by Google home (assistant) this may have been due to a power outage, can't really say. Relaunch the app set the device up again, logged in. Reconnected account to Google home. And it went right back to working. The downside is the odd shape. It clogs up a plug. Ideally this should plug into a power strip. But when doing that it takes up three slots. If you just need one thing to remotely turn off and on, maybe your coffee pot, I would recommend this device knowing it's limitations. I don't believe I was solicited with any unwanted material phone or email from my Wemo account. My next purchase would be a smart power strip. I would definitely like something that was Google account ready.

The wemo plug in switch is awesome to plug in a device such as a lamp or a fan and woks great with Alexa! Just ask Alexa to turn on your lamp or your fan and turn them off as well with voice using alexa. They can be programmed to turn on lights on a schedule or to program them when you are away to turn on/off lights at random times to appear someone is in the home to help in home protection as would be thieves would believe someone was home. Highly recommend!

Perfect for turning on/off Christmas lights. You can also set a timer... no need to crawl behind the Christmas tree. Only down fall is that it doesn’t have energy consumption tracker.

Configured this device with my smartphone and within 5 minutes had the Wemo controlling a light that is used for the dog when it gets dark. Overall a nice start to setting up some home automation.

Was debating buying the lighting kits and the Best Buy rep recommended I try this. So effective and works really well with alexa and my mobile phone. No complaints here. Definitely want to get more.

I returned an Insignia brand plug and exchanged it for this one. This one works much better. It is a little finnicky getting it connected, but it works and I can use Google assist to tell it to turn on and off if I don't feel like getting up. The scheduling feature is also great since I can turn non wifi lamps on and or off if I am on vacation or away for a weekend.

I bought this to plug my Christmas tree into so I can turn the tree on/off with my Google Home / Google Assistant. It's one of the cheaper options available. It works with SmartThings as well.
