Great addition to our SmartHome. Easy setup with the App and love the timer setup too. Needed something that would work with Apple HomeKit, which it does. Just a little finicky sometimes that Home kit app doesn't show the true status of the wemo outlet. Each outlet does show as a separate device in your wifi home devices. Once we hit 29 devices in our home we had to reconsider using the wemo outlets. The majority of our devices run off the Philips hub which can manage up to 50 devices and only be recognized as one. We ended up switching to Philips outlets to lower our device count. But we'll still use wemo outlets when needed for Christmas lights needing to have a timer setup. Wemos were cheaper than the Philips but the way.

I bought the Wemo Mini Smart Plug to add as a device with my Echo Dot. Setting up to my home Wi-Fi was real easy using the free Wemo app. This is my first Smart plug to have. I thought it would work real nice to use for my table lamp, which it has worked great. Now I want to buy several more to make my home a Smart Home. I really like that I can use it with Alexa Echo Dot to turn on my lamp using voice control or able to remotely control my table lamp from anywhere using the app on my phone. I like that there is no subscription or hub required. I did end up buying another to give as a gift to my mom who is up in age, who also has a Echo Dot and was hesitant that she didn't need a Wemo Mini Smart Plug. But after it was set up for her to use on her lamp, she finds it very useful now and she very much finds it convenient using voice control as well as the Wemo app. Technology of smart devices is always amazing and never seem to disappoint me. The Wemo Mini Smart Plug is a great item to have.

After buying the cheaper insignia smart plug and returning it the next day i decided to buy this one from wemo. It was really easy to set up and only had a problem when getting it to connect to my wifi once because of it not recognizing my password. After that it connected just fine and i have it linked with my echo dot and it works fantastic. The app also works great when im not in range of my echo dot. The design is also great since this one is the mini and only takes up one outlet space giving you the ability to put another one right under it or leave it open for anything else. Great product definitely recommend it. If you are thinking of going with something cheaper, i suggest saving yourself the trouble and headaches and spend the extra money for something that does work.

A little background: My smart system is starting to get complex with Hue Lights, Google Home, Samsung Smart Things, an Iris Garage Door Controller, and a Nest Thermostat. When I started with Smart Things, I ended up with a couple of Samsung's Smart Things Outlets, these work great, however they block access to one of the other outlets if you try to put two on one standard outlet, they just don't fit. I wanted smart outlets that would allow me to plug in 2 on 1 standard 2 receptacle outlet, so it came down to either the Wemo Mini or TP-Link's. They are both compatible with Google Home, but I wanted to make sure that I could control them with Smart Things (an earlier model didn't natively work, so someone made a guide to get around it using an IFTTT virtual switch to act as a go between for the two). When I arrived at the store, there were none of the TP-link or insigna models for that matter and a couple of the Wemo Mini's. I purchased two Wemo Mini's, and true enough to what I needed them for they both fit stacked on 1 standard outlet, and I found they are natively picked up by Smart Things as well. I've had them for about 2 weeks and they have been working well with no issues. I plan to buy more, to make another tower fan and a humidifier smart, so I'd recommend the product, so long as you're not trying to buy them when I am, otherwise cheers.

I was a bit hesitant to jump on the smart switch bandwagon because there are always reviews that talk about the reliability of these devices, but I've had none of those issues. It took me mere minutes to configure using the WeMo app, and another two minutes to link to our Google Home app, and we were up and running. "Hey Google, turn off the lights!" *click* As far as I can tell, the only reliability issues we've had (and they have been rare in the grand scheme of things) seem to be more a Google Home issue (as that's still a relatively "young" system that's constantly being tweaked and improved upon) rather than a WeMo issue. This is supported by the fact that I've NEVER had an issue controlling the switch using the WeMo app; only when talking to the Google Home have I ever [very occasionally] had issues. TL;DR - Works great. Will be buying more in the near future once we decide which devices we are going to control via smart wall outlets, and which devices will be controlled via light switches.

I had purchased the insignia smart plug because it was cheaper and even though i had read other reviews about it not being hard to set up or not having problems, it was still rated pretty bad and so for the price i decided to take the chance and see if i was gonna be one of the lucky ones. Turns out i wasnt and it was complete garbage. So after returning it i decided to go with a more expensive plug and i was not disappointed. You really do get what you pay for. Not only was it easy to set up and get connected to all my other devices it didnt make me have to sign into my bestbuy account to use like the insignia one. Im telling you now, save yourselves the headache and time and just purchase something that is going to work instead of trying to save a few dollars. When it comes to technology sometimes more expensive really is the way to go.

This mini version of the Wemo is a huge improvement on size as it doesn't hog the entire outlet. I had some problems with rules working consistently at the beginning, but with the latest updates those issues have been resolved. I use these to control a dragon habitat, so the sunrise/sunset rule feature is awesome (and much more reliable than I am). I did have one faulty unit that wouldn't stay connected. Of course Best Buy has a great return/exchange policy, and they quickly replaced it with a new unit. I do wish these had the same abilities as the Insight, but it's not a huge deal.

I have several Wemo products. I'm currently using one per lamp in the living room. With Alexa integration, I'm able to pair all the Wemo plugs to say, "Alexa, turn on living room" and all the lamps will turn on. I have one of the outlets controlling a timer light. It turns on at dusk automatically and keeps up to date on what time dusk is throughout the year based off of your zip code. It's also handy at Christmas time with the Christmas tree, candles in the windows, etc. Setup was easy including usage with Amazon Echo (Alexa).

The outlet for the lights on my Christmas tree is behind the tree making it extremely difficult to even use a manual foot pedal switch. Having remote controlled room lights, I figured I'd try this remote device to control the tree's lights. It was very easy to set up. I'm now able to control it using the app on my smartphone and have even set up a daily schedule for automatically turning the lights on/off. I am also able to use Amazon Echo and Google Assistant to control the plug switch.

We have been using these devices for about two months now. We use them to turn off the entertainment center in the basement while not in use. We also use them to control lamps throughout the house. With the use of the WEMO app we can control the devices to make the house appear to have someone home by turning the lights on and off though the use of timers. You have the option of turning the switch on and off through the WEMO app as well as switch on the front of the device.

I bought this for my girlfriend. Her coffee pot does not have an auto-off and she was always leaving it on all day. The Mini Wi-Fi Smart Plug allows her to: 1) Program when the power comes on and for how long from her phone 2) Remotely turn the power to the outlet off and on (in case she sleeps in and wants the coffee to start later) I have a programmable coffee maker but it is not remote and it can only be set to go off at one specific time each day and shuts off after two hours; if I oversleep on the weekend, I wake up to cold coffee. I know, 1st world problem but every “problem” smart devices solve are 1st world problems so let’s move on. The $35 price seems a bit steep but perhaps not given the flexibility and ease of setup and use. Not to mention the annual energy savings from not leaving appliances on by mistake (can’t tell you how many times I’ve come home to a space heater still running - not good!). The other nice aspect to using a smart plug on “dumb” appliances is it can be retask as needed. Use it on the fan or dumb [read: less expensive] AC unit (you already own) during the summer and a basic space heater in the winter. Oh and yah you can tell Google Home or Alexa to turn something on by voice as well. That’s pretty cool too.

Wemo - Mini WiFi Smart Plug (3-Pack) - White - not easy to connect to the wifi system it took me over 2hours to connect the 3 of them to my home wifi network. First one took 5 minutes & then I had to swap the other 2 back and forth until it recognized the wifi network & then I could finish setting them up. If you run an update you have to have alexa research for new devices since sometimes it will not find your device. you will hear wemo not responding & sometimes within 10 seconds it will still turn on or off. If it does not, wait 30 seconds & repeat the command & then it will work. Great for setting it for a fan to turn on & then you can set an automatic timer for preset times only so it will turn off automatically. I used it for a fan, fireplace & speaker. To see if the plugs will work for the item you want. leave it on & unplug it, if you plug it back in & it turns on automatically - then you can use it. some new fireplaces when you turn the power off & then on, it does not remember the device was on prior, especially blutooth devices so you won't be surprised.

I purchased TWO WEMO switches that I use for my lamps not connected to a light switch. I am able to turn on and off my lights with a timed setting, for example, I put them to go on at 4pm every night so my dog is not in the dark. The switches work over a 4G connection, not just Wireless. They have to be setup with a wireless connection, but then you can control with your phone. I can turn my bedroom light on while in bed, or at work. You can set timers, actions, or just a normal on/off switch with these WEMO switches. The actions are great because you can have the action work for an individual switch, multiple switches, or all switches. I will be purchasing many more so every outlet in my home is connected.

This automated outlet plug is definitely worth buying. Have had one for a month now and they have worked correctly 100% of the time. I have 3 of them and paired them with Amazon Alexa. So they have made me lazier than I already am. You don’t even need to get out of you chair to turn on a light, fan appliance etc... You can set a scheduled time for on and off, or set it to random make it look like someone is home even if you’re not.

The mini smart plug is very handy and I like the small size. I purchased previous Wemo smart plugs but they were large and bulky so they covered the second plug on the outlet. The mini plug offers the same performance as the big, bulky version but it doesn't cover the second plug. That feature is a big plus for me.

Simple to setup, much smaller than original design, budget friendly, you can’t go wrong.

I was looking for a smart plug to work with my echo dot. This was fairly easy to set up and use. I can now turn my Christmas tree and other lights on/off by voice or the app. I like that it has a random feature for when you are away from home. Small enough you can use 2 on one outlet. Great price too, one of the lowest I found. It has been very dependable even after a power outage. I highly recommend.

I bought this to turn off and on my lamp from my bed instead of going with the Phillips hue. I am now getting the hue instead. It's a cool product and I think it's more of a glorified timer for Christmas lights or whatever than a replacement for hue. Each time the app opens, it takes a minute for it to find the switch and then a few presses on the screen button switch before it reacts and turns on and off. While the hue is almost instantaneous and allows for varying degree of brightness. Upside to this is that you can use cheap bulbs but downside is that it lags and isn't and featured as hue. Lutron light switches are the best dimmer to use cheap bulbs if you're running a ton of lights and just need a dimmer but for a lamp with 3 bulbs, I find the hue much more convienent with voice activated integration and dimmable bulbs.

I did not like having to create yet another smart device account with a new manufacturer, but Wemo's process was simple and integrates well with my Smartthings Hub, Google Home, and Alexa. I never actually use Wemo's interface. Most of my smart devices are Z-Wave, so I was unsure about adding one random WiFi device, but have had absolutely no issues. Well sized that it fits in either outlet without altering my ability to plug in above or below it. Love the illuminated forward facing button and how clean and polished it looks. We use it in our nursery for controlling our sound machine. I can easily reach out and turn it off with my toe if needed when I don't feel like yelling at my Google Mini getting drowned out by rain sounds while holding my daughter.

I have used multiple types of these plugs. The Belkin plugs are by far the best. They are easy to use and I do not have disconnect problems that I have had with other brands. They work seamlessly with the Amazon Echo. WEMO has corrected the earlier problem of removing unused plugs or changing the names. I currently use approx. 9 of these plugs throughout my home.
