A must have for any Jimi Hendrix fan is this 1 CD, 1 DVD set. On the wrapper it states that this is "The Authorized Hendrix Family Edition." Do not confuse this CD/DVD set as the full 4 disc CD w/DVD, that you will have to pay more for. In my haste to get this on the release date I did not closely examine if I was getting the 4 disc set or 1 disc set. Both sets contain the DVD, which after watching, is an excellent watch that I highly recommend. Bootsy Collins does a wonderful job in narration as if he were Jimi Hendrix speaking to you. There is enough footage of Jimi speaking that it flows smoothly with Bootsy's narration. Disappointed in not getting the 4 disc set out of the gate has not stopped me from getting that set as well. So now I have both. As a matter of fact, I am glad that I got both sets. Even though it cost me more to have Jimi this way, it just adds to my own valuable collection of Jimi Hendrix work as an artist and musician. Although the packaging could have been a bit better it does not take away from this being an essential Jimi Hendrix keeper.
