When the name, Aaron Sorkin, is on a project, we want to see it, and then, we want to know we can see it again, so it's good these are available. From his films, which include A Few Good Men and American President, to tv series from Sports Night through West Wing, Studio 60, and the current critically-acclaimed Newsroom, he WRITES. Specific to this West Wing purchase (but consistent through his work) the dialogue is sharp, witty, insightful. Characters are wonderful, the actors live up to the page and the sets and pace add to the visual and cerebral nourishment.

While some shows may go into a sophomore slump, this was not one of them. In fact, everything gets even better as the second season heats up and rivets the West Wing to new heights of drama and political intrigue. This series only gets better with age.

It is a great series, the storylines are great and the acting is great as well.

A fast moving hit TV series of how events unfold and are decided in the White House. Reminds me a bit of the ambiance we had in our office.

The second season is the season that hooked me on West Wing. Following the suspenseful shooting that ended the first season, the second season delivers a smartly-written and dramatic picture of politics behind the doors of the White House. I have seen this season at least 5 times, if not more, and I am currently watching through it again. Some of the writing of later seasons lacks the humor, wit, and suspense that the second season does so well! If you have not seen The West Wing: Season 2, you are seriously missing out!

Even better than the first season, the second season of The West Wing is an incredible show. Smartly written and gripping, if you like politics you will love this show; if you don't like politics, watch this show and you soon will.
