This TV was easy out of the box. My one issue is the speakers are terrible. No bass just treble even after adjusting every setting we can find. Disappointed but it's for my kids and they don't seem to mind. It would be too much trouble to return so we are keeping it.

Tried several ways to get TV to receive any cable channels to no avail. Called Westinghouse for help, no channels received when hooked up where existing TV got reception. Now paying to ship TV back to Westinghouse under warranty because you won't take back at store after 15 days. New TV-no reception- can't get past set up wizard in TV channel scan.

I bought 2 of these for my travel trailer. 1 broke within the first week of having it the other is still working.

ordered on-line w/ 2 day shipping...no damage but once set-up only audio ("tinny") was available...troubleshoot with westinghouse with no solution....returned to store and exchanged for different brand. receiving a defective product happens.and my exchange was a personal choice...Best Buy service as always was excellent

This review is for the 24" tv. This tv is not intended to compete with the much more expensive tv's. I would give 4 1/2 stars if it was an option. Having said that, at this price it cannot be beat. There are a complete set of advanced video controls, which is unusual for a tv in this price range. And with some careful juggling, one can achieve a great black / white / grey shade picture. This is necessary to get an accurate color picture. I have managed to get a fairly accurate picture - not over-driven, with pretty good black level and brightness. A good tv at a good price. I cannot speak on the longevity of the tv yet, but will amend the review if it becomes necessary.

The TV has a decent picture. Overall, the TV is good... the build quality is fine, it's lightweight, slim, and does the job. However, the sound quality on this TV is quite possibly the worst I've heard - ever. At first, I thought it was a poor cable connection, but after troubleshooting and adjusting audio settings, it is most definitely just that terrible. Plan now is to acquire some cheap PC speakers, since the TV does have a 3.5mm headphone jack output. That should hopefully take care of it.

Perfect for my bedroom. I could not have spent my money any better. I am seriously considering getting 2 more, one for the workshop and one for the kitchen. Take it out of the box, screw the bottom on and add power, that's it !!! Thank you Westinghouse and Best Buy!

Product failed after 3 days, and had to be returned

I use it as a computer monitor and it works great! The sound is the only reason it rated 4 stars instead of 5, but I was aware of this problem. Easy to set up. Picture is excellent!

I would rate 5 stars if the program info would show the upcoming shows. The last TV I had (a cheap $89 Element TV) would allow me to see what the upcoming shows were with the information for them. Other than that, this TV is great and what I needed. Easy to program and use. I bought this TV because Westinghouse is an old and trusted brand.

Awesome picture for the price. I prefer a heavier remote but that's just my opinion. The only real downside is the speaker fuzz out badly at any volume above mid range. Would be a 5 star review if the speakers worked properly.

Perfect little TV for a bedroom, and to defeat the speaker issue that everybody speaks of, a cheap set of $11 external speakers make up for any problems.

Cons: The complaints here about poor sound quality are right. The TV does have an equalizer to adjust the sound, but the quality is poor at best and irritating otherwise. (As others noted, the surround sound option doesn't help, and may be worse.) However I have seen the same complaint about several other 24" TVs--the small speakers just can't do a very good job. Aside from that, the plastic base needs to be attached with screws -- something of a pain. I have several computer monitors and the base always just snaps on. Pros: I got this as a bedroom TV and for that purpose it works fine. I like that in a pinch I can also use it as backup computer monitor. As others have noted, the sound problem can be remedied by plugging in external speakers. I had an unused pair of computer speakers -- that get their power from the USB port -- that are not great but that provide better sound than the TV itself. The result is acceptable. The picture is fine. The 1080p HD resolution was especially useful for my purposes since the TV cable in my bedroom only provides SD signals. Using the TV's zoom feature, I can fill the screen with a decent picture. The 720p resolution of most other 24" TVs, which mostly cost more, wouldn't have worked as well. All together, for less than $100, this TV was a good value for my needs. I would recommend it to someone who has similar, modest needs.

Not much to say for TVs, they either work or dont. This one works, price was amazing, and the menus are user friendly. Easy to setup. This was originally purchased primarily for an xbox and the sound was a surprise, the speakers do a very good job, more so then expected given the price point. Picture is clear, sharp, and no issues

After eighteen years of faithful service, we decided to replace our 19" White-Westinghouse TV because of limited capabilities in the modern TV world. This 24" 1080P Westinghouse TV was $20 to $30 less than anything comparable plus they offered FREE 2DAY SHIPPING. We ordered ours on a Sunday night and it arrived Tuesday morning! The Fedex man even forgot to smash one end. We got the TV hooked up and, WOW, the sound and the picture just blew us away. What's more, all functions worked. The small on-screen print is slightly smaller on the new TV vs the 19". This is because of the HDTV aspect ratio having less height than the 19" TV. You get used to it quickly. Overall this is a wonderful value for anybody needing a small TV.

Bought this for a house guest and hooked a Roku to it for their short stay. Picture is great for a $99 TV, sound is lacking but no complaints. Since the house guest left I've been using it as a monitor in my office and have plans to get a second one to use as a monitor. My only gripe is the power cord and that the transformer is mounted on the plug, so it takes up some space.

Good price for the tv can't beat $99.00 dollars for a 24" tv... I bought a insignia 24" better picture on my Westinghouse tv.... speakers weren't that great bought that mini speaker for it works well.

The audio kept going off, and by slapping it on the side it would come back for a short period. I took it back to the same store I had purchased it from ( Best Buy on Limonite, Eastvale CA) to the the Geek Squad, they said it was my connection. I replaced the cables with high quality cables and replaced the cable box and it the same thing-the audio would cut out. I took it back to Best Buy and they said I was out of warranty. Hmm.

good for a bedroom or a kids room if you have a lot of external plug ins this is not for you. For basic viewing very good.
