Solid but weak

According to the instructions the unit can fit up to 60" flat panel TV's with a max load of 165lb. My 46" LED TV is only 57lb and the unit is already saging in the middle to the point the doors are starting to rub when I close them. I am very disapointied at this point with the unit. I will call Whalen customer service to see what they have to say. Maybe it is just a deffective unit. I hope so I realy like the appearance and the design of the unit. to be continued.

I was planning on calling Whalen for a replacement part, until a couple days later I noticed the middle of the unit was sagging. My TV was 50lbs under the weight restriction too. Thank god Best Buy took it back with zero issues and many apologies. I still plan on calling Whalen.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one of these a month ago. After a week, I noticed that the top surface sagged in the middle. Since my TV is only 55", this shouldn't have happened. I returned the piece to the store and exchanged it for a new one. I took the new one out of the box and started to set it up. This time, I didn't even put my TV on it - my TV is now mounted on the wall. After a couple of days, I checked the top surface with a straight edge - and sure enough - this one is sagging in the middle as well. It sags only about 3/16" of an inch but it's noticeable from my couch. Furthermore, this sag is right out of the box. I imagine it will only get worse over time. I'm extremely disappointed, as the design of this piece is perfect for my family room. Unfortunately the quality of its construction is pathetic.

But as I was setting it up for her I noticed the middle support on bottom had pushed screws holding it on through the bottom shelf. Then as I looked the shelf on right side behind the glass door was not level. So after getting a tape measure out. Here the pre drilled holes for the shelves pins were not at the same levels. One sides holes were a inch off from the other side, and also the door on that same side will not adjust because the hinges were put on crooked. I WOULD NOT buy this stand if I were you reading this review. For that much money and for such poor quality it's not worth it.

Terrible Build Quality, It Will Bend

I've had it for a little over one (1) month now and the whole top is bowing 5/8" of an inch. I've got a 60" sharp led/lcd tv that can't weigh more than 60 lbs. The rear removable panels won't even come off, They are stuck. and the front doors look crooked due to the thing bending in the middle. It's lack of support in the middle will guaranty it to bend after a few weeks under load of the tv and components. DO NOT BUY THIS STAND! IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL, BUT YOU WILL REGRET IT JUST AS I DO.

SAGS WITHIN 1 MONTH AND CONTINUES
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After not even 1 month the stand was sagging in center with only a 50" samsung smart tv on it, and thats LIGHT WEIGHT. The sagging continues to get worse however I called Whalen and they agreed to reimburse me as long as I donate it to goodwill or salvation army. THE COMPANY SAID THIS HAPPENS WITH ALMOST EVERY ONE OF THIS MODEL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried to temporarily put a post in the center to help the sagging, new areas started to sag... could not stop it. Getting rid of it and buying a completely different one...

Bows after 2 weeks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The TV stand is priced right and looks incredible, but less then two weeks later the TV stand begins to bow in the middle. I have a very light weight Samsung TV on top, a cable box and a blu ray player in the component section. There is no reason that this piece of furniture should break down so fast unless it is due to the POOR BUILD QUALITY. I DO NOT recommend purchasing this TV stand, you can find a better TV stand for cheaper.

Sags in the middle

The doors no longer open. I have a 60" TV on it that is no way near 165lbs, and the shelfs are mostly empty except for a directv box and a FireTV. Really sad that this expensive of a piece of furniture can't take it's intended purpose. I should have read more closely.
