I majorly auditioned these for music and they sounded very good. I was using them with Yamaha Rx-475 receiver. They were good out of the box and sounded better in a couple of days. I was suspicious about the high frequencies (I had an aluminium tweeter in my last speaker), but they sound very good and rounded up; for sure my aluminium twitter used to sound more high but shrilled in these frequencies these are very good at high but with no shrill and that makes them audible for much longer time. The low and mid sounds very good and clear; upgraded from a 5" woofer to this one which is 6.5 and I can for sure tell the difference. There is definitely improvement in overall tone due to 6.5" over 5" and considering the small wooden house; the bass is more than sufficient. It will not suffice bassheads but for that you can always use a subwoofer. Overall I am enjoying them a lot; they are much better than the polk towers I bought before (tsx 440t). last they look good; real eye catcher. Overall a great buy. I have bought CS center speaker as well but am yet to fix that with TV so can not comment on performance with movie.
