Really great supernatural mystery great acting engaging characters happy purchase

Excellent 4K transfer. This movie is on of my favorites. Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford. Great on screen dynamic. Beautiful scenery and music score.

I already have this on DVD , but with the ' ghost appearances ' i needed a better copy. Such a great plot to this movie which keeps you on the edge of your seat. Michelle Pfeiffer is still such a great actress too.

It seems that over half of my collection consists of B movies! This one, however, is elevated (slightly) by the A List cast.

Was interesting to see Harrison Ford as a villain in this movie. Wish it was alittle longer

Very fun horror movie, and good supernatural thriller

This is the only movie I can think of that was truly suspenseful. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. Just when you thought it was all over, something pops out and pulls you back in. This is a very captivating movie. It's full of surprises and very memorable scenes. This is not your typical blood and guts horror. This is very chilling and not to be missed.

This ghost story (with elements of the Hitchcock films Suspicion & Rear Window) deals with a woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) who, following the arrival of new neighbors next door, becomes more and more interested in a young girl who disappeared some years earlier, to the bewilderment of her husband (Harrison Ford). Both stars are wonderful. Pfeiffer has the meatier role, but Ford is also terrific in an uncharacteristic supporting part, and there is a fabulous shock at the film's climax (kudos to the two leads for making this shock better than it otherwise would've been). Only the slasher film-mentality of the conclusion doesn't ring true.

I have been a fan & collector of Harrison's for 30 years now. I USED to be 1st in the door opening day for his films. This film is an example as to why I do NOT do that anymore. Of the few films he did last decade, this was the 1st & it was a hit. Film is just ok. We see cameos from Harrison's wife from the great "Air Force One" Wendy Crewson &" Lord of the Rings" 2 & 3 Miranda Otto. The twist which was not really a twist was who the bad guy was. Different to see Harrison in this role. I will NOT give away a spoiler here as to not upset anyone. The story about the family to me just did not hold up & how Harrison & Michelle married. The story about the dead girl OK, fine. Script was the problem with the film. Standard extras on it & at least since it is an older DVD we get a chapter search list.

Great suspense/drama. Excellent picture quality. Hauntingly well done and entertaining.
