I’m not sure what to think, I love the movie and this is a great Blu-Ray transfer, but the case says Over 2-hours of special features on the back and besides a trailer this disc has ZERO features. I’m going to return this in hopes it’s just a bad copy but I’m not going to hold my breath.

This is the original movie that gave rise to the tv show. It's very funny and a bit gory. If you're a fan of the tv show you'll see some familiar story points and recognize the mockumentary format.

Watch this movie if you've never seen it before! I watched the TV series first, which I also love! After watching the movie though, its hard to say which I prefer because the original is so great! I'm a new fan of Taika Watiti and I really love his style of humor and Kiwi humor in general. I really enjoyed the Flight of the Conchords so it was awesome seeing Jermaine Clement here also as a vampire. The concept is four vampires living together as roommates in modern day New Zealand and its hilarious as they play on all the familiar vampire norms and lores! Jojo Rabbit was Taika's first film I saw, which I also loved, but I enjoy this even better! Buy it as you will not be disappointed!

"What We Do in the Shadows" is a vampire mock-u-mentary by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. It has a camera crew following a house of four vampires in New Zealand as they try to live their normal lives. These vampires are hundreds of years old, for the most part, and the modern world presents them with a lot of challenges. The occasional "horror" aspects of the film are surprisingly well-crafted. They did a lot with a small budget. The actors, other than Clement and Waititi, are somewhat amateurish. But the film is mostly good fun and worth checking out. The Blu-Ray version is BD-R, if that makes a difference.

Now that there is a TV show I feel like this movie is no longer just a cult classic. It’s a kind of strange movie but I really enjoyed it. It’s from Australia, so it may just be that some of the humor doesn’t transfer well to me. However it was a great mix of horror and camp. I loved it. The blu Ray itself is good too. Has a nice picture, the sound is a little flat, and if has some good extras. Overall I really enjoyed this movie and think this disc is a good release. If you like mockumentary style movies or the show you’ll love it!

What We Do in the Shadows is the best mockumentary since This is Spinal Tap. However, this home video release is seriously lacking. There is no digital copy, and not many interesting special features.

The original movie that spawned the TV series. See the early work of the director of Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit in a hilarious film that skewers the vampire tropes. If you like vampires and comedy this is the film for you.

Probably won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you like other works from Taika Waititi or Jemaine Clement, you'll probably enjoy this. Blu-ray video and audio are very good also.

What We Do In The Shadows is a super fun documentary delving into the everyday lives of vampire flatmates in present day New Zealand. Lots of great laughs! Don't miss out on this one!

This would be a good start for someone who is interested in Taika Waititi's earlier filmography before his Thor: Ragnorok fame. It's even been expanded to a television series on FX!

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Wish it was longer but never really a slow part. Humor isn’t for everybody and that is too bad for those people.

Price point is high, but the film is superb. This is the film that got Taika the Thor: Ragnarok directorship.
